Gordon fights back and how will the BBC react

How long before the Labour attack dogs are set loose on David Cameron, George Osborne and Boris Johnson? Gordon Brown and his team have operated by setting the "political narrative". For most of this year Gordon Brown's team have controlled the setting of the agenda, as Tony Blair's team did previously. Over the last few days Gordon Brown's team have found that events have moved against them and they have lost their iron grip on the news agenda. The Gordon Brown camp will hate not being in control and will be concentrating on how to regain it.

I expect some very nasty attacks on the Conservative Party and personal attacks on the afore-mentioned trio. Why these three and not Liam Fox, William Hague etc. you may ask? The UK has an increasingly presidential type of government and Gordon Brown must therefore destroy David Cameron and his number two, George Osborne. The position of London Mayor is also critical to the prestige of Labour in London and beyond and the thought of a Conservative winning the next mayoral election disgusts the Labour party.

Look out for the first of the these stories appearing in the Sunday papers and the reports of these stories to be on the BBC soon after. The BBC's position at the moment is rather interesting, they have been supporting New Labour strongly since Tony Blair became Labour leader, many would argue that they have been supporting Labour as strongly since Mrs Thatcher became Prime Minister. The BBC's support of Gordon Brown has been beyond what anyone could call "proper" for an unbiased news organisation. The BBC are being increasingly closely monitored by Biased-BBC and other blogs. The BBC will have a decision to make soon, do they start to act responsibly and try to be unbiased from now on or do they go for broke and carry on supporting Gordon Brown.
