The Labour Party spin machine goes into overdrive and John Humphries reacts!

The BBC are pushing Lord Darzi's interim report on his review into the NHS which publishes an interim report today, timing? Please note that Lord Darzi is a Labour minister as well as a practicing surgeon, even if John Humphries would rather emphasise the former. Even John Humphries has had a sniff of spin here and on the Toady Today programme and Lord Darzi is putting up a very unconvincing defence of the timing of the release of this interim report. I think John Humphries has woken up with a bit of a "cob on", he is rubbishing the NHS is the "envy of the world" claims now. We are a "mediocre provider of health services", "we have to have some aspect of charging for the NHS; someone get John Humphries a cup of tea.
