One rule for Israel another for Iran

The BBC are "going big" on the story that "a gunman... killed two people and wounded at least 10 at a gay support centre in the city of Tel Aviv." A terrible crime and one that deserves publicity but this crime took place in Israel the most/only gay friendly country in the middle wast. I do not remember the BBC giving anywhere near as much prominence to the regular hangings in Iran of homosexuals for being homosexual. To the BBC a one-off killing by a lone gunman in Jewish Israel is a far more serious matter than the state sanctioned hanging of homsexuals in Muslim Iran; why?
