Left-wing anti-Semitism is anything but a new phenomenon per Daniel Hannan on Telegraph Blogs

'Left-wing anti-Semitism is anything but a new phenomenon
"How, as a socialist, can you not be an anti-Semite?" Adolf Hitler asked his party members in 1920. No one thought it an odd question. Anti-Semitism was at that time widely understood to be part of the broader revolutionary movement against markets, property and capital.
...
... Karl Marx himself,... The grandson of two rabbis, he disliked all religions, but reserved a vehemence for Judaism that we never find in his writings on Christianity – about which he could be rather sentimental, though he deplored its corruption by the "Jewish spirit". In 1844, the odious cadger wrote: The essence of Judaism and the root of the Jewish soul is expediency and self-interest; the God of Israel is Mammon, who expresses himself in the lust for money. Judaism is the embodiment of anti-social attitudes.'

The left have long allied themselves with anyone who might help destroy capitalism and in doing so have chosen Islamism, with its inherent anti Semitism, over the Judeo Christian. Thus much of the British left have accepted anti Semitic slurs, often by saying they mean anti Zionist, but I and others are not fooled.

NHS on brink of collapse, warns former health minister per The Guardian

'The National Health Service will crash within two years with catastrophic consequences unless the government orders an immediate multibillion pound cash injection, the former minister in charge of care services says.

The stark assessment from Norman Lamb, minister of state at the Department of Health until May's general election, comes as fears mount among senior NHS officials, care providers and local authorities that NHS and care services are approaching breaking point.'
Note not the usual could, but will. So in two years when the dysfunctional NHS is still with us will The Guardian ask Norman Lamb why he was wrong?

Saudi Arabia Wins Bid to Behead of UN Human Rights Council Panel per View from Geneva

The United Nations is beyond belief time to for decent democratic countries to boycott this vile organisation.
'GENEVA, September 20, 2015 – U.S. Ambassador Samantha Power and EU foreign minister Federica Mogherini should condemn and work to reverse the appointment of Saudi Arabia as head of a key UN Human Rights Council panel that selects top officials who shape international human rights standards and report on violations worldwide, said UN Watch, a non-governmental watchdog organization based in Geneva.

"It is scandalous that the UN chose a country that has beheaded more people this year than ISIS to be head of a key human rights panel," said UN Watch executive director Hillel Neuer. "Petro-dollars and politics have trumped human rights."

"Saudi Arabia has arguably the worst record in the world when it comes to religious freedom and women's rights, and continues to imprison the innocent blogger Raif Badawi," Neuer added.

"This UN appointment is like making a pyromaniac into the town fire chief, and underscores the credibility deficit of a human rights council that already counts Russia, Cuba, China, Qatar and Venezuela among its elected members."'

Is the BBC biased?

Is the BBC biased is a great blog. Here's an article that is well worth a read - http://isthebbcbiased.blogspot.co.uk/2015/09/baling-out.html

Here's a brief extract that is right on the money but I feel misses a key player:
'As BBC Watch, UK MediaWatch, Daphne Anson, Harry's Place,  Elder of Ziyon and many other pro Israel blogs detail, day in, day out, the BBC determinedly under-reports the malevolence and deviousness of Israel's enemies and gives too many platforms, unchallenged, to their activists and propagandists. '
I'd add this blog to the named ones, but maybe I am biased!

Israel steps up Jerusalem security after Palestinian clashes per BBC News

I am in a slight state of shock, maybe my blog posts, tweets and complaints to the BBC have had an effect. Within this BBC report is this:
'The compound - known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as al-Haram al-Sharif - is the holiest site in Judaism, and contains the al-Aqsa Mosque - the third holiest site in Islam.'
Finally the BBC recognise the importance of the Temple Mount to Judaism. Now of only they'd report that the reason both religions have holy sites in the same place is because the Muslims built their mosque on top of the Jewish Temple then we'd really be getting somewhere.

Lingerie show - Rule 5 Friday post - NSFW

Here is a full catwalk preview of the alluring and sensuous runway of Pretty Wild Lingerie as it unveils its AW 2015 collection during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Amsterdam. Never miss out the black and white lace corsets in one piece monokinis and two-piece lingeries, complimented with vintage high waist and sensual suspender stockings. Also, fall in love with the teasing sheered lingerie robe in deep violet and feathered black cover-ups, including the black lurex mesh, long-sleeved shift dress.

Is Ray Davies of the Kinks a racist too?

"Millions of people swarming like flies 'round Waterloo underground "
Obviously not, but then neither is David Cameron. The BBC are biased scum though.

Migrant crisis: Croatia closes border crossings with Serbia per BBC News

This biased BBC report on http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-34286432 includes some emoting from one of the BBC's chief emotion creators, Lyse Doucet.
'The crisis has challenged the Schengen agreement, with Germany, Austria and Slovakia all re-imposing checks on parts of their borders.

EU regulations dictate the refugees must register and claim asylum in the first member state they reach. But many migrants and refugees wish to continue on to Germany and Austria, and do not wish to seek asylum in smaller, less well-off EU nations such as Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia.'
The Schengen agreement only applies to borders between countries within the Schengen agreement, countries can still protect their other borders. Also it doesn't really matter what these 'migrants' want to do, they are entering the EU and should comply with EU regulations.

The BBC pro immigration propaganda is all but ceaseless and the likes of Lyse Doucet provide the mood music.

Spending watchdog to probe Kids Company grant per BBC News

Strange how this BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-34281923 into the Kids Company has a picture of David Cameron at the top so as to blacken his name but no mention at all of the BBC's own Alan Yentob. It's almost as though the BBC was pathological in its anti Conservative bias.

MI5 boss warns of technology terror risk per BBC News

Unsurprisingly this BBC report http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-34276525 manages to minimise any references to Islam or Muslims. And then there's this passage near the top of the report.
'Meanwhile, a highly critical report from David Anderson QC, the independent reviewer of terrorism legislation, warns forthcoming separate legislation to ban extremism could provoke a damaging backlash in Muslim communities.

The lawyer said in his annual report that if the new laws were too widely drawn, they could play into the hands of people trying to encourage extremism and terrorism.'
Why would legislation to ban extremism cause any problems to any community that wasn't in favour of extremism? If part, or all, of the Muslim communities are in favour of extremism or are upset by legislation aimed at banning extremism then I would suggest that the problem lies more with those communities than with the legislation.

There is always a ready supply of bleeding heart liberals and the like who will excuse almost any behaviour by Islamists and put the blame on the British government. And they always get a positive attitude from the BBC.

Prime Minister Viktor Orban saya what the BBC will not allow to be said on any part of their broadcasting/brainwashing empire

'The Muslim community is far stronger,... Cultural unity. It is an illusion in the minds of Europeans that those Muslims who would like to live in Europe would like to live in the host community the same way that we do. (In fact) They would like to maintain their community, culturally and ethically, continue the life they have, but under far better conditions.'

Jezza and Diane Were Lovers per Guido Fawkes

This Guido Fawkes piece http://order-order.com/2015/09/17/jezza-and-diane-were-lovers about Jeremy Corbyn's relationship with Diane Abbott makes me slightly nauseous but is irrelevant from a political point of view. However what might be relevant is why the current Labour leader thought a hard line communist country was the right place to take a holiday.
'The pair do not deny the Westminster legend of their romantic trip across Soviet East Germany on a motorbike.'
Did Jeremy Corbyn then approve of the East German regime of the time? Does he now?

Jeremy Corbyn in his own words

Guido Fawkes http://order-order.com/2015/09/16/watch-the-tory-video-corbynistas-tried-to-ban has kindly provided the video footage to show the British public what Jeremy Corbyn's views are. Something the Labour Party and the BBC are desperate to keep hidden.

Migrant crisis: UN 'shocked' over clashes in Hungary per BBC News

The BBC report http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-34275400 that the UN is shocked but they want you to be shocked too, as they are.
'UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has said he is "shocked" after Hungarian police fired tear gas and water cannon to force migrants back from its border.

Mr Ban said such treatment of asylum seekers was "unacceptable".

Hundreds of migrants were involved in the clashes at the border between Hungary and Serbia on Wednesday, trying to break through a razor-wire fence.'

Shouldn't sovereign countries be allowed to decide who enters their country? Without control of their borders what is the point of being an independent country?

Of course that is why the United Nations and the BBC want uncontrolled immigration; the United Nations want more power as a World Government and the BBC want more immigration especially of Muslims to break down national identities in Europe and beyond.

Israeli PM Netanyahu vows stone-thrower crackdown per BBC News

This BBC report http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-34264938 was the first that I have found where the BBC report the death of Alexander Levlovitz. As usual with the institutionally anti Israel BBC they only report the death of a Jewish Israeli when Israel responds to that death.

'The Israeli prime minister has vowed to "use all necessary means" to stop stone throwers after an Israeli man died in a car crash linked to such an attack.

Benjamin Netanyahu's statement came after an emergency meeting of his cabinet and security chiefs.
Alexander Levlovitz died in a car accident apparently caused by a rock-throwing attack in Jerusalem.'

Of course if a Palestinian is injured in any way that could be in any way blamed on Israel, then the BBC reports the news immediately and in depth.

The BBC's relentless anti Israel propaganda is fanning the flames of anti Semitism in the UK and beyond. So when hen Jews are killed for being Jews and thus associated with Israel the BBC will have to accept partial responsibility for those deaths.

Jeremy Corbyn ignores press over shadow cabinet questions

Jeremy Corbyn: the strong and silent type or just not happy with answering questions?
Maybe he'd be happier answering questions from Hamas and Hezbollah about the evil Israeli government or about how the Falklands should be Argentinian despite the wishes of the Falklanders or maybe about the economic miracle that is Socialist Venezuela.

Jerusalem clashes 'may ignite violence beyond its walls' - BBC News scum at it again

This BBC report http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-34262947 contains this line that has really pissed me off:
'Al-Aqsa is one of Islam's holiest sites and is in the Temple Mount/Haram al-Sharif site also revered by Jews.'

The site would be the holiest in Judaism being the site of The Temple were it not for the fact that The Temple had been destroyed and a Mosque built on top of it. All that is left of The Jewish Temple is one of its retaining walls, the Western or Wailing Wall

The BBC should know this but if they don't they should bloody well learn. If they do know this but prefer not to inform their readers then they are just continuing the policy of the institutionally anti Israel BBC that was revealed in the Balen Report.

The BBC and government subsidising The Guardian

Two comments in this Biased BBC post http://biasedbbc.org/blog/2015/09/14/start-the-week-open-thread-53/ struck a chord:
'When I last looked at the Guardian it was full of job adverts for the BBC and the public sector.
None of them need to advertise in the press, there's nothing to stop them putting up their own websites with their jobs on.

Cost to taxpayer: next to nothing.

Instead they'd rather spend our money subsidising the Guardian and jobs for their mates.

The Guardian is already publicly funded by this large and generous subsidy. One again we have no choice about it.

That's another tory fail. The tories are in power, they are the Government. It is about time they made a massive cut to their personnel advertising budget and instead only advertised jobs on their own .gov website.'
Over to you 'Conservative' government.

BBC topical comedy teams

If Nigel Farage meeting with some Eastern European MEP who has tenuous links with parties who were once Neo Nazi would be enough for the BBC's topical comedy teams to brand him a Nazi and get laughs week after week for making this incorrect claim.

Then surely Jeremy Corbyn who has openly called the anti Semitic, homophobic, genocidal Islamist terrorists of Hamas and Hizbollah his 'friends' should be (incorrectly or not) called anti Semitic, homophobic and genocidal by the he same BBC 'comedians'.

Somehow I doubt that this will happen, as for the likes of Mark Steel, Jeremy Hardy and many of the younger generation of such 'comedians' , support for Hamas and Hezbollah is understandably, along with wishing to hand over the Falklands to the Argentinians against the wishes of the Falklanders and increasing ties with the Putin regime in Russia.

What makes Jerusalem so holy? - BBC News

The BBC ponder this question in this report http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-26934435

Can you guess which religion is put last in the report? Yes that's right, the oldest of the three religions.

But it's the passage on Judaism that interests me as a whole.

'The wall

The Jewish Quarter is home to the Kotel, or the Western Wall, a remnant of the retaining wall of the mount on which the Holy Temple once stood.

Inside the temple was the Holy of Holies, the most sacred site in Judaism.

Jews believe that this was the location of the foundation stone from which the world was created, and where Abraham prepared to sacrifice his son Isaac.

Many Jews believe the Dome of the Rock is the site of the Holy of Holies.

Today, the Western Wall is the closest place Jews can pray to the Holy of Holies.
It is managed by the Rabbi of the Western Wall and every year hosts millions of visitors. Jewish people from all over the world visit this place to pray and connect to their heritage, especially during the High Holidays.'

How's your logic? '... the Western Wall, a remnant of the retaining wall of the mount on which the Holy Temple once stood... Many Jews believe the Dome of the Rock is the site of the Holy of Holies.'

If the Western Wall is a remnant of the retaining wall of the mount on which the Holy Temple once stood, and no doubt about this is expressed here (if there was doubt then the institutionally anti Israel BBC would shoehorn a weasel word conditional term into the description of the Western Wall), then geography would make it pretty clear where The Temple was and what is there now.

It fits the BBC's anti Israel agenda to discount Israel's claim on Jerusalem. And this is something that they do as often as possible.

The BBC don't explain why The Jewish Temple is no longer there. But then the BBC also manage to avoid reporting that despite associating themselves with the view that Israel is an apartheid state, Israel has ceded control of the holiest site in Judaism to a Muslim entity.

Perhaps the BBC could contrast this action with that of the Jordanians who occupied the eastern part of Jerusalem from 1948-1967 and during that period expelled Jews from it, ethnic cleansing, destroyed synagogues and made it all but impossible for Jews to visit even the Western Wall. The BBC could do this, but to do so would be to go against their settled anti Israel narrative and letting the light of facts onto this subject is not in the interest of the BBC or its Muslims Arab fellow travellers.

The BBC's obsession with promoting hatred of Israel and increasing Muslim immigration into the UK is at least partly responsible for the rise in anti-semitic feeling in the UK and beyond. When Jews start once again to be persecuted in the UK, it is the BBC who will share a large part of the blame for creating the atmosphere that this anti Semitism flourished in.

Jeremy Corbyn gives top jobs to John McDonnell and Andy Burnham per BBC News

Oddly this BBC report http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-34240869 makes no mention of the vile anti Semitic abuse that was hurled at Ivan Lewis when he let it be known that he had not been kept in the Shadow Cabinet by Jeremy Corbyn.

Anti Semitism amongst the left of politics, including in Britain is on the rise, a rise fuelled in part by the vilely anti Israel reporting by the institutionally anti Israel BBC.

With a Labour leader who calls 'friends' organisations who are dedicated to the destruction of Israel (the world's only majority Jewish state) and the death of all Jews, this anti Semitism of the left is only going to increase. It seems that Jeremy Corbyn is not going to tackle the problem and thus the BBC will try to push this matter under the carpet so as to first assist the new leader of the Labour Party, a political party that the BBC actively supports via its broadcasting and second to further vilify Israel.

The BBC is playing a very dangerous game here and when Jews are killed in Britain, for being Jewish and thus associated with Israel, I will hold the BBC responsible for their large part in creating an atmosphere of hatred of Jews via their biased reporting.

The BBC is dangerously biased on many areas but this one is going to cost British citizens their lives.

BBC bias, yesterday, Today, and tomorrow per Christopher Booker in The Telegraph

This part of Christopher Booker's column caught my eye:
'... on a whole range of issues, from the EU to climate change, the BBC is so lost in its own groupthink that it simply does not recognise just how biased it is. And the point about people who have become caught up in groupthink is that, whenever anyone dares question it, they can only respond with a flood of angry intolerance ... '
I think that sums up the BBC to a T.
More here http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/bbc/11859875/BBC-bias-yesterday-Today-and-tomorrow.... And More clear bias every day on all of the BBC's outlets

What will happen to Europe (and the rest of the West) if unlimited immigration continues?

An interesting video of the sort that the institutionally pro immigration BBC would never dream of making.

Jeremy Corbyn is not alone in his relationships with terrorists and their supporters

'Labour now has a leader who describes Osama bin Laden's death as a "tragedy" and admits meeting IS sympathisers.

But the dodgy links do not stop there. The party's new candidate for London mayor, Sadiq Khan, also caused a storm when he vocally defended terror suspect Babar Ahmad, who then pleaded guilty to conspiring to raise funds for the Taliban.

What is it with Labour's new top team and cosying up to terrorists?'

Harriet Harman exhibits the usual Labour hypocrisy

'Harriet Harman has slammed the Government's plan to use the international aid budget to help pay for the 20,000 Syrian refugees Britain is to accept over the next five years.Yet who was it that first started using the aid budget to support refugees? The policy was introduced in 2009 – by the last Labour government.'

Why Europe?

Clashes at Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque per BBC News

The BBC news report has been updated http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-34237219 and as I predicted takes one side of the story.
'Clashes have broken out at the al-Aqsa mosque in East Jerusalem after Israeli police entered the compound, reports say.'

Dozens of police broke into the site and Palestinians threw stones and fireworks at them, Israel's Ynet news reports.'

So the Israeli police just broke into the site for no reason? And then the Palestinians responded?

'Similar clashes took place at the end of July.'

Any interest in reporting the causes of those?

'Al-Aqsa is one of Islam's holiest sites and is in the Temple Mount/Haram al-Sharif site also revered by Jews.'

Surely the Temple Mount is the holiest site in Judaism but the institutionally anti Israel BBC won't report that.

'Footage of police apparently entering the compound was circulating on social media.

The disturbances come hours before the start of the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, which begins at sunset on Sunday and continues until Tuesday evening.'

In 1973 on Yom Kippur, one of the Jewish High Holy Days, Arab Muslim countries invaded Israel trying to destroy it, they failed. Now on the eve of Rosh Hashonah, the other Jewish High Holy Day, trouble is starting.

The BBC is institutionally anti Israel and will report this, like any other story set in Israel and the Palestinian Territories, from the point of view of the Palestinians. I have zero confidence in the BBC to report in a fair and unbiased way on any news involving Israel.

The Jewish high holy days are a good time for Israel to publish anti Israel stories as most Jews will be too busy praying to respond to the lies and bias. Even a large proportion of nominally non religious Jews attend shul over this period.

Clashes at Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque per BBC News

The institutionally anti Israel BBC are reporting http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-34237219 as a headline with no actual content yet that 'Clashes reported as Israeli police enter al-Aqsa mosque complex in East Jerusalem'
Presumably the details will be spun so as to vilify Israel by only giving one side, the Muslim Arab side, of the story any validity.

UK progressive 'comedians' and UKIP

I've commented on the left-wing bias of the BBC's 'comedians' before, here Pat Condell nails it...

Jeremy Hardy, Mark Steel, Rufus Hound should take note but they're more likely to carry on with their 'progressive bigotry'.

Female cartoonist could have 12 year prison term extended for shaking her lawyer's hand per The Independent

'An Iranian artist currently serving more than 12 years in prison for criticising the government now faces further charges of "indecency" for allegedly shaking her male lawyer's hand.

Amnesty International reports that Atena Farghadani, 29, who was jailed after she depicted Iranian government officials as monkeys and goats in a satirical cartoon, may face a longer sentence amid claims over the handshake.

Charges of an "illegitimate sexual relationship short of adultery" have been brought against Farghadani and her lawyer Mohammad Moghimi amid allegations he visited her in jail and shook her hand - which is illegal in Iran.'
What a delightful regime...

How Arctic ice has made fools of all those poor warmists

Isil fighter hiding in Calais migrant camp with 'aim of committing terror attacks in Britain', say local reports per Telegraph

'French police under orders to find and arrest Isil fighter on an Islamist watchlist who returned from Syria in August and is hiding among migrants in Calais, La Voix du Nord reports.

An Isil fighter from Syria is hiding in a migrant camp in Calais with the aim of illegally entering Britain to commit "terror attacks", according to local French media.

French police have been told to locate and arrest the man who left Syria in August and is on a French terror suspect watch list known as "fiche S", according to La Voix du Nord, the regional French newspaper.

"His intention is to reach Britain to commit terrorist attacks," it wrote, without citing sources.'
Good luck finding this news on the pro immigration at any cost BBC.

Just how stupid are our leaders and media?

'Flashing the peace sign for the camera, this is the suspected Islamic State militant arrested over the Tunisian museum massacre arriving in Italy just a month before the killings.

Abdel Majid Touil, 22, was pictured smirking at a Sicilian port in February after smuggling himself into Europe on a boat full of migrants while allegedly planning the attack.

Weeks later, gunmen carried stormed the Bardo Museum in Tunis, killing 21 tourists including British mother-of-two Sally Adey.'
More here http://linkis.com/wordpress.com/WA9Fo but not on the BBC where every 'refugee' is a poor sweet child or mother or maybe an engineer who speaks perfect English.

Reporter's Notebook: By the Temple Mount, we sat and wept per Jerusalem Post

A very interest post http://www.jpost.com/page.aspx?pageid=7&articleid=415605 that really should be worthy of interest from the likes of the institutionally anti Israel BBC.
'From the start, the sense was that the police work for the Isalmic Wakf, which manages the site, and not for the citizens of Israel. They treated us with disdain, and catered to and tried to anticipate every inane complaint by Wakf staff. '
This is what's happening in the capital of Israel and it stinks.

Greek Migration Minister: 'Jihadists Passed Through Greek Borders' per GreekReporter.com

This is from Greece http://greece.greekreporter.com/2015/09/07/greek-migration-minister-jihadists-passed-through-greek-borders I wonder if they are making it to Northern Europe? The UK?
'"It would be foolish to say that no jihadists have entered the Greek border," said Mouzalas in response to a question about the migrants and refugees entering Greek territory through the Aegean border.

"I think that the European countries' secret services can confirm that a small number is likely to have gained access to Europe," he added. '

What odd priorities

At the end of this BBC report appears an odd comment.
'Muslim leaders in Cardiff have called for proof that Khan was plotting a terrorist attack on the UK'
It's odd you don't hear these same 'Muslim leaders' in Cardiff and elsewhere Muslim leaders asking their Muslim community to report anyone that is thinking of joining ISIS or has terrorist sympathies so as to try to prevent any more terrorist atrocities being perpetrated in the UK.

So how damming must the Balen Report have been about the BBC's anti Israel bias?

This from Biased BBC caught my eye:
'In 2005, an independent report commissioned by the BBC's board of governors found that the corporation was guilty of "cultural and unintentional bias" in coverage of Europe.'
If that report into the BBC's coverage of Europe was OK to be released, can you imagine how damming the Balen Report into the BBC's coverage of Israel and the Middle East must have been for the BBC to fight tooth and nail to keep it secret?

Corbyn is caught on camera calling Islamic fanatic a 'very good friend' whom he knows 'extremely well' as he shares stage with UK's most notorious extremists

Jeremy Corbyn's friends are becoming rather well known. Here's another one...
'Jeremy Corbyn has been caught on camera declaring his friendship for Ibrahim Hewitt, a Muslim hardliner.

Hewitt has been a highly controversial figure since he wrote a notorious pamphlet that branded homosexuality a 'great sin' comparable to paedophilia and incest, which should be 'severely punished' under Islamic law. It also said that adulterers should be 'stoned to death'.

Speaking at a pro-Palestinian event in East London in February 2013, Corbyn said: 'I've got to know Ibrahim Hewitt, the Chair, extremely well, and I consider him to be a very good friend, and I think he's done a fantastic job.'

Watch the video at the link below, seems kosher...

Is this incitement?

Louis Farrakhan calling for 10,00 fearless men to say that death is sweeter... and also saying that “Retaliation is a prescription from God to calm the breasts of those whose children have been slain. So if the Federal Government will not intercede in our affairs, then we must rise up and kill those who kill us. Stalk them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling,”
Is that incitement? Louis Farrakhan thinks not... “I never said kill all White people. Those are not my words. Those are the words of the mischief-makers,” said Min. Farrakhan. “If you are going to quote me then quote me! But when you add your evil mischief-making to my words to make White people to think that I’m calling on Black people to kill White people to start a race war, then you’re nothing but a lying devil!”

What do you think?

Islamic State Terrorists Caught Crossing Into Europe Posing As Refugees

I'm shocked and surprised, no not really...
'Five men have been arrested as they attempted to cross the Bulgarian-Macedonian border with decapitation videos and Islamic State propaganda on their phones. The terrorist suspects had been posing as refugees.

Bulgarian authorities near the Gyueshevo border checkpoint detained the five men, aged between 20 and 24, late on Wednesday, Bulgarian broadcaster NOVA TV reported.

The men were stopped by a border guard, who they attempted to bribe with a "wad of dollars." However, they were searched and Islamic State propaganda, specific Jihadists prayers and decapitation videos were found on their phones.'

Boy, 13, doused in gasoline and set alight in racially-motivated attack in Kansas City

This news would be all over the BBC but for one detail, it was a white boy set on fire by two black youths and that doesn't fit in with the BBC narrative at all.

'Police are investigating a possible race hate attack after a 13-year-old boy was doused in gasoline and set on fire.

The teenager, who suffered first degree burns to his face and hands, is white and his two attackers black.

His mother Melissa Coon said the attackers told her son 'This is what you deserve. You get what you deserve, white boy'.'

Migrants crisis: Unease as Czech police ink numbers on skin per BBC News

The BBC report on the migrant crisis in Europe but twist the story to further their narrative. This report makes much of the Czechs writing a number on the migrants arms so as to keep track of non Czech speaking people, apparently this has resonances of the Nazis tattooing numbers onto Jews.

The BBC's obsession with vilifying anyone who doesn't support unlimited immigration into Europe is getting out of control.

However at the end of this BBC report comes this:
'A new poll released on Wednesday suggested that 94% of Czechs believed the EU should return refugees to where they came from, 32% without helping them at all.

More than three quarters want to abandon the EU's Schengen Agreement, which enables passport-free travel, and send Czech border guards back to their posts.'
94% of Czechs want to return the refugees but the BBC and our masters in the EU want something different for us. And since neither the EU nor the BBC are democratic bodies, the will of the people can be ignored.

Bangkok bomb: Thai police charge man 'linked to Erawan blast' - BBC News

'... national police chief Somyot Pumpanmuang downplayed any suggestion that the suspect was connected to terrorism.

"He is a foreigner, but it's unlikely he is an international terrorist. It's a personal feud," Mr Somyot told a televised news conference.'
Personal feud? Yes, sure...

The difference between a right wing and a left wing politician

Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn were walking down the street when they came across a homeless person.

Boris gave the homeless person his business card and told him to come to his office tomorrow to see about a job.

He then took £20 out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person.

Jeremy Corbyn was impressed, so when they came across another homeless person, he decided to help.

He walked over to the homeless person and gave him directions to the local job centre.

He then reached into Boris's pocket and got out £20. He took £15 for administrative fees and gave the homeless person £5.

Now, do you understand the difference between a Conservative and a Socialist?

Spector - All The Sad Young Men

Someone's got a Joy Division CD!

Jeremy Hardy is left wing!

The BBC admit here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-34014449 that Jeremy Hardy is left wing.
'A left-wing comedian has said he was told by the Labour party that he could not vote in its leadership election.

Jeremy Hardy said he paid £3 to become a Labour member in order to become eligible to vote, but that he has supported other parties in the past.'
Will they admit the same is true of Mark Steel? And which comedians they use on panel are also left wing, and which are right wing?

How does one get a job at an 'innovative long-distance teledildonics company'?

The Iran nuclear deal has received very little scrutiny from the BBC, maybe it should

Here's something that you won't read on the BBC:
'... one of the side deals reached between Iran and the UN's International Atomic Energy Agency provides for Iran to carry out its own inspection work at the Parchin military facility where the IAEA has long alleged it experimented with high-explosive detonators for nuclear arms.

The Iranians have been strenuously attempting to sanitize the site for years — which is bitterly amusing, since they evidently need not have bothered.

Even the Iranians plainly didn't think they'd get away with a deal this ridiculous. It's akin to having Bernie Madoff scrutinize his own business practices, or Tour de France cyclists conduct their own doping tests… except it has global life-and-death implications.'

Jeremy Corbyn's friends re-examined per The Jewish Chronicle

The whole of this JC article is worth a read http://www.thejc.com/news/uk-news/142706/jeremy-corbyns-friends-re-examined but especially the end:
'On Tuesday, several anti-Israel activists signed an open letter attacking the JC.
Signatories to the letter included Tony Greenstein, Professor Haim Bresheeth, Abe Hayeem, Miriam Margolyes, Professor Ilan Pappe and Michael Rosen.
...
The signatories to the letter claimed Mr Corbyn had "nothing to apologise for" following his meetings with representatives of Hamas and Hizbollah.

The letter continued: "Hamas was democratically elected in Palestinian elections generally accepted as fair, and Hizbollah also has strong electoral support in Lebanon."'

Absolutely Hezbollah has strong electoral support but then so did the Nazis, would the signatories of that letter have deemed meeting with them 'nothing to apologise for'?

Let's have a look at the people that Tony Greenstein, Professor Haim Bresheeth, Abe Hayeem, Miriam Margolyes, Professor Ilan Pappe and Michael Rosen think that meeting with are  'nothing to apologise for'.

Hamas in 2000 said:
'The so-called Holocaust, […] is an alleged and invented story with no basis. . . . The invention of these grand illusions of an alleged crime that never occurred, […] clearly reveals the racist Zionist face, which believes in the superiority of the Jewish race over the rest of the nations."'
So Holocaust denial is 'nothing to apologise for'?

Hamas's Charter says Jewish people "have only negative traits and are presented as planning to take over the world."

So anti Semitic slurs are 'nothing to apologise for' ?

Hezbollah's leader Hassan Nasrallah, speaking at the Shi'ite Moslem "Ashura" flagellation ceremony on 9 April 2000, said:
"The Jews invented the legend of the Nazi atrocities.... Anyone who reads the Koran and the holy writings of the monotheistic religions sees what they did to the prophets, and what acts of madness and slaughter the Jews carried out throughout history.... Anyone who reads these texts cannot think of co-existence with them, of peace with them, or about accepting their presence, not only in Palestine of 1948 but even in a small village in Palestine, because they are a cancer which is liable to spread again at any moment."'
So Holocaust denial and anti Semitism are 'nothing to apologise for'?

Hezbollah's leader Hassan Nasrallah was reported to have said:
"if [Jews] all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide."

So anti Semitism and threats of a new Holocaust are 'nothing to apologise for'?

Hezbollah's leader Hassan Nasrallah who also said:
"If we searched the entire world for a person more cowardly, despicable, weak and feeble in psyche, mind, ideology and religion, we would not find anyone like the Jew. Notice, I do not say the Israeli."
So blatant anti Semitic slurs are also 'nothing to apologise for'?

If Jeremy Corbyn's supporters say that meeting with Hamas and Hezbollah is 'nothing to apologise for', bearing in mind the above, then what would they say would be worth apologising for?

Jeremy Corbyn is at odds with his 'friends' in Hamas and Hezbollah

The Telegraph reports that Jeremy Corbyn has said that:
"My views are that the Holocaust was the most disgraceful and vile process of the history of the 20th century, if not the wider world and that has to be understood by successive generations and it has to be understood by all our children in schools. That surely is important,"
Strange that Jeremy Corbyn can allegedly believe that yet also happily call 'friends' Hamas and Hezbollah...

That's Hamas who in 2000 said:
'The so-called Holocaust, […] is an alleged and invented story with no basis. . . . The invention of these grand illusions of an alleged crime that never occurred, […] clearly reveals the racist Zionist face, which believes in the superiority of the Jewish race over the rest of the nations."'
That's Hamas whose Charter says Jewish people "have only negative traits and are presented as planning to take over the world."

That's Hamas whose Charter claims that the Jews deserve God's/Allah's enmity and wrath because they received the Scriptures but violated its sacred texts, disbelieved the signs of Allah, and slew their own prophets.

That's Hamas whose Charter quotes a saying of Muhammad from a hadith:
"The Day of Judgement will not come until Muslims fight the Jews, when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say, 'O Muslim, O servant of God, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him.' Only the Gharkad tree would not do that, because it is one of the trees of the Jews."
That's Hezbollah whose leader Hassan Nasrallah, speaking at the Shi'ite Moslem "Ashura" flagellation ceremony on 9 April 2000, said:
"The Jews invented the legend of the Nazi atrocities.... Anyone who reads the Koran and the holy writings of the monotheistic religions sees what they did to the prophets, and what acts of madness and slaughter the Jews carried out throughout history.... Anyone who reads these texts cannot think of co-existence with them, of peace with them, or about accepting their presence, not only in Palestine of 1948 but even in a small village in Palestine, because they are a cancer which is liable to spread again at any moment."'

If Jeremy Corbyn calls Hamas and Hezbollah his 'friends'  despite their Holocaust denial and their rampant & overt anti Semitism then pardon me if I don't put much credence in Jeremy Corbyn's denunciations of Holocaust deniers.

Corbyn 'forgot' meeting banned pro-Palestinian activist per BBC News

The BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-33991920 are happy to accept Jeremy Corbyn at his word:
'Labour leadership contender Jeremy Corbyn has told the BBC he had "forgotten" meeting a controversial Lebanese activist.

Mr Corbyn initially told BBC Radio 4's World at One programme he had no idea who Dyab Abou Jahjah was.

He later said he must have forgotten meeting Mr Abou Jahjah, who is banned from the UK over his views on the Middle East, in 2009.'
Forgotten, yes of course.

Jeremy Corbyn and Holocaust denial

The Times today reports that 'Jeremy Corbyn has said that Holocaust deniers are vile and wrong...'

Unfortunately he also calls 'friends' Hamas and Hezbollah.

That's Hamas who in 2000 said:

Just a reminder of how delusional Ed Balls was on election night 2015

Oh so sweet to watch again especially when Ed Balls is telling us that the people decide elections not David Cameron, the Conservative Party and Iain Dale. Yes they do Ed Balls, yes they do, and look what happened to you on that night.

Listening to Harriet Harman is also instructive.

Remember these are the people who still want to run this country.

Also when Jeremy Paxman says to Paul Mason "Dejection up there?", is he asking about the Labour view or Paul Mason's? Paul Mason does look rather sick, shame.

And here is the moment Ed Balls lost his seat; happy days.

Sometimes it's good to remind oneself how lucky the Conservatives were on that election night.  To a very large degree it was UKIP taking votes from Labour that ensured a Conservative victory. That needs to be remembered over the next years. A Jeremy Corbyn lead Labour Party could win the next general election if only a small number of those UKIP voters return to Labour.

Why Sri Lanka?

The 6pm BBC Radio 4 news had a piece about an upcoming Sri Lankan election.

That's odd I thought, but then the Muslim angle was explained and the reason for airing the news was clear.

The BBC's obsession with matters Muslim is quite incredible.

Labour's Angela Eagle showing that political hypocrisy that almost defines the Labour Party

Angela Eagle who's standing for Labour Deputy Leader... A typically sneering performance from a typically nasty Labour MP, thankfully she was called out by the audience and even David Dimbleby.

Syria conflict: Marketplace air strikes 'kill 80' per BBC News

A small news story on the BBC news tells us of more civilians killed in Syria.

Of course if this had been just one Palestinian killed by Israel the institutionally anti Israel BBC would deem this a headline piece of news, but as it's Muslim Arabs killing Muslim Arabs they're less interested.

One line in that report caught my eye:

'United Nations figures show that over 220,000 people have been killed and more than nine million displaced in Syrian civil war since it began four years ago.'
The scale of what's happening in Syria is incredible but as the BBC can't vilify Israel over it they really aren't that interested.

We don’t need the union jack on Team GB’s kit – it’s ugly and divisive | Jonathan Jones | Comment is free | The Guardian

If you want a fine example of Guardian crap, here you go...

'The trouble with the United Kingdom’s flag, when you come to think about it, is that it is really quite ugly. I have every sympathy for the designers who removed it from the British athletics team’s vests for the imminent World Athletics Championships in Beijing. Olympic long jump champion Greg Rutherford has complained that “it isn’t a British kit any more” because it hasn’t got the union flag, but the decision makes sense aesthetically. The new vest is an elegant flowing dance of red, white and blue – the flag’s colours, remember – and has Great Britain written on it in big letters. It just doesn’t have that jagged, explosive, aggressive flag.'

That's from non-athlete Jonathan Jones in The Guardian's Comment Is Free.

I'm not sure why Jonathan Jones thinks the Union Flag's design is aggressive, maybe he's projecting.

This is the sort of hate your country bollocks that really winds me up about the left in this Country.

Awfully wet isn't it?

Fed up with the incessant rain in the UK the past 10 days or so?

It's very odd because I distinctly remember The Guardian reporting in 2006 as fact that (my emphasis):
"Scientists know a lot about how events will unfold...which means that whatever we do, our climate destiny is fixed for the next few decades... Rainfall will decline in the summer and the increased deluges in winter will struggle to replenish thirsty reservoirs because much of the water will run off the baked ground."
Scientists know... climate destiny is fixed... Rainfall will decline in the summer..." It's all rubbish folks; most of these scientists are not predicting based on science, they are designing science to fit the desired predictions.

What about the second part of what "scientists know"? "Rainfall will decline in the summer and the increased deluges in winter will because much of the water will run off the baked ground."
Shall we take a look at reservoir levels in the baked South of England, the area with the biggest water problem? South East Water report the levels at their two largest reservoirs:
Arlington Reservoir was over 97% full on 20 March (the last day they report levels for), Ardingly Reservoir was 100% full on the same date. Now they might be lower now, they should be, but if South East Water aren't bothered enough to update their site then I doubt that there is a serious issue.

What about the South West maybe they are faring worse? Well South West Water are somewhat more up to date than South East Water and they report data up until 9 August. They report percentage data for their five reservoirs: Roadford, Colliford, Wimbleball, Stithians and Burrator. The figures show that the average storage levels across these five reservoirs was 74.9%. As a comparison it was around 65% in 1995; water shortage getting worse?

Does it look as though there are problems replenishing thirsty reservoirs because of the declining rainfall that scientists know about?

How about Severn Trent? They report weekly and you'll see that for the last nine weeks the figure hasn't dropped below 82.4%.

I could go on and on but I think that the pattern will be similar across most of the UK regions.

So how about The Environment Agency the body that is so certain about Climate Change that they confidently state on their web site:
"It's an inescapable fact: our planet is warming up. Records show that temperatures around the world have risen steadily since 1900...

Climate change is the biggest environmental challenge facing the world today. We know the Earth's climate does change naturally over a long timescale, but the overwhelming majority of the scientific community now accepts that human activities are causing significant, rapid changes to our climate.

Over the past century, global temperatures have risen - the 10 warmest years on record have all been since 1990. The contribution to global warming from human activity is linked to increases in the amounts of heat-trapping "greenhouse gases" in the atmosphere. As the concentrations of greenhouse gases increase, less heat can escape from the atmosphere, making the Earth warmer. The main greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide, which is released by burning fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas.

...

What will happen if we do nothing?

The latest data tells us that some climate change is already inevitable, so we will need to adapt to its impacts. We must plan for more extreme weather conditions: wetter winters with an increased risk of floods, and hotter, drier summers that put pressure on water resources. Sea levels will also rise, increasing the risk of flooding around our coastline."
Maybe these are some of the scientists who know what's going to happen to the climate in the UK. After all they also seem to know that we are going to experience "wetter winters with an increased risk of floods, and hotter, drier summers that put pressure on water resources". Let's look at the Environment Agency's own figures...

The Environment Agency publish their Water Situation for England and Wales figures on a monthly basis so the latest report is for July and tells us that (my emphasis):
"Following on from a dry June, July was wetter than average, with rainfall totals across England at 144% of the long term average (LTA).
Soil moisture deficits decreased by up to 50mm across most areas during the month, with the greatest decreases in parts of Cumbria.
Monthly mean river flows decreased compared to June at most indicator sites, but remained normal or higher for the time of year at more than two-thirds of sites.
Groundwater levels decreased during the month at all but one indicator site. End of month groundwater levels remain normal or higher at half of the indicator sites.

Reservoir stocks decreased at all reported reservoirs and reservoir groups during July, and at the end of the month were normal for the time of year at most sites.
Overall stocks for England decreased to 82% of total capacity.'

So after years of knowing that reservoirs would not be replenished by winter rains we have a situation, as the rain pours off my roof, where groundwater is normal or higher at half of sites, where rainfall in July was 144% of the long term average and reservoir stocks are at 82% of total capacity.

Scientists know that 'Rainfall will decline in the summer and the increased deluges in winter will struggle to replenish thirsty reservoirs because much of the water will run off the baked ground.?'

I beg to differ.

Huma Abedin STILL hasn't sworn under oath that she's turned over all her emails per Daily Mail Online

'Hillary Clinton declared Monday under penalty of perjury that she has given the State Department all of her work-related emails from her four years as secretary of state, but her trusted aide Huma Abedin has not yet taken that step – despite a request from a federal judge.

Abedin's lawyer Karen Dunn told Politico on Thursday that the longtime Clinton insider, who served as deputy chief of staff at State, plans to turn over her work-related emails and other messages from her tenure there by August 28.

But Dunn declined to say whether or not Abedin will ink the same statment Clinton has signed.'

Fascinating, almost as fascinating as the way the BBC have declined to cover the whole Hillary Clinton email story in anything other than the most perfunctory manner. Imagine how the story would be covered by the BBC if it had been a senior Republican politician who had these peculiar email arrangements.

Another BBC incompetent?

Clare McDonnell is not a someone that I have come across before and on the basis of around five minutes listening this lunchtime I don't think I'll bother again. She seems yet another one in the long line of ill-prepared women presenters on BBC 5Live.

The piece I caught, whilst driving between two appointments, was about VJ Day and of course 5Live were proud to have found not one but two women who'd helped win the war with their work at Bletchley Park.

This should be fascinating I thought; and in the hands of another presenter it might have been. Unfortunately Ms McDonnell didn't know what these two ladies had done during the war and worse seemed incapable of reacting to new information from either of the two ladies.

The two interviewees were great, with the sort of received pronunciation that you so rarely hear on the BBC anymore. They were honest about their roles, and if I'm doing them a disservice then I apologise to them. The first ladies role seemed to be mostly filing documents in date order. The second's role seemed to be copy typing. Despite hearing this information Ms McDonnell still asked the second lady about her code breaking, only to be corrected. She also asked about Alan Turing, unfortunately the second lady had only said good morning to the great man, and that just the once.

I'd like to make it perfectly clear that my beef here is not with the two interviewees, they were quite interesting, but with the BBC's Clare McDonnell who was simply woeful. A fine replacement for Victoria Derbyshire then.

Five times a day an observant Muslim prays for the Kafir...

But as Dr Bill Warner explains, not in a good way...

Demand soars across the NHS in England per BBC News but no mention of....

This BBC report manages not to mention immigration.
'The demand for hospital services is soaring, according to official data from NHS England.

It has reported increases in emergency ambulance call-outs, A&E admissions, emergency admissions, diagnostic tests and treatments.'
No interest at all as to why demand for hospital services is rising, just not something that could be mentioned...

Another piece in the BBC's vilifictaion of Israel

The BBC's bias against Israel is clearly documented and if we were allowed to read the Balen Report we would know that they know they are biased against Israel. So it was with little surprise that I read this article.

The article is entitled 'Paris-Plages: Tel Aviv invite prompts Palestinian protests' and is by the BBC's long standing journalist

'The holiday atmosphere along the River Seine will be severely tested on Thursday as friends and enemies of Israel take their respective beefs to the sandy esplanades of Paris-Plages.'
Well we know which side of that divide the BBC are on.

'It all began with an idea from the Hotel de Ville to devote a day to Tel Aviv.

Tel Aviv, the Paris authorities decided, is a beach city par excellence. It is liberal. It is fun-loving. It is NOT Jerusalem.'
Subtle? No not really as the BBC put into the reader's mind that to associate Israel with Jerusalem would be beyond the pale. The BBC aren't subtle with their anti Israel articles but they are effective.

'What better way to reach out to the good guys in Israel than to create a special day of Paris-Plages (the capital's summer attraction since 2002), with falafels, electronic music and other TA staples?
Of course it was never going to pass off just like that.'
These good guys in Israel must be the sort of Haaertz reading lefty that the BBC can just abide to consort with.

'There has been a storm of outrage from the pro-Palestinian camp. An online petition calling for the
event to be banned has drawn 15,000 signatures.'
Of course the pro-Palestinian camp are outraged, that is their default position. They look for anything not 100% anti-Israel and oppose it bitterly.

'A group called CAPJPO-EuroPalestine has announced plans for a demonstration on the quays next to the artificial beaches. Some 300 extra police are reported to have been mobilised to head off the risk of violence.'
That will be the usual violence  that accompanies pro-Palestinian groups.

'For opponents, the event is "indecent" and the city authorities are gullible purveyors of Israeli PR.

"A few days ago a Palestinian baby was burned to death; exactly a year ago the people of Gaza were being massacred; there's a permanent policy of excluding Palestinians from east Jerusalem.

"You can't just sweep that to one side for a festival of electro-dance," said Eric Coquerel, national secretary of the Left Party.'
The BBC let these claims stand without comment because blackening Israel's name is the BBC's favourite game. The Palestinian baby was the innocent victim of one or more Jewish terrorists and I hope that they are found, tried and if found guilty punished  appropriately. The death of that Palestinian baby was not a result of Israeli government or armed forces actions and the actions of the murderers was openly opposed by the Israeli government and most of the Israeli population. That contrasts with the official Palestinian response to the deaths of Israeli Jews at the hands of Palestinian terrorists. Such deaths are celebrated in the Palestinian Territories and the perpetrators are lauded and some even have streets named after them.

As for the people of Gaza being massacred; that may be a claim that the BBC agree with, after all their viciously anti Israel coverage of that war would lead you to believe it but the reality is somewhat at odds with the claims. As usual no mention of the thousands of rockets fired at Israel and the terror tunnels constructed under Israel from Gaza is allowed on the BBC.

The Muslim Arab population of Eastern Jerusalem is still in existence. Did the BBC cry for the Jews who were expelled from the eastern part of Jerusalem when it was occupied by Jordan from 1948-1967, the only years that this ancient city had ever been split? The only reason that 'East Jerusalem' has a Muslim majority is the ethnic cleansing by the Jordanians in that 20 year period.

'All of which prompted the Socialist mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, to write an open letter to Le Monde.

"I could never regard a city as responsible for the policies of a government. To do that would be to show contempt for… democracy.

"It is perfectly possible to condemn the politics of the Netanyahu government without at the same time punishing the entire Israeli population - and ourselves as well - by refusing the contacts that are so important for mutual understanding."'
That's important for the BBC, whichever side wins this Parisian dispute, the  Israeli government of Netanyahu is of course beyond the pale.

'The guiding principle of the French soft left remains the old notion that if only enough good people from the two sides got together and talked, all could be resolved.'
Of course the fact that Hamas is pledged to destroy Israel and kill as many Jews as possible is not an obstacle to piece. The fact that Fatah/PLO, the supposedly moderate Palestinian government, is pledged to the creation of one Palestinian state from 'river to the sea' is not an obstacle to piece. The only obstacles to piece are the presence of Jews in their ancient homeland and their building of homes.

'For some it is naive; for others a necessary clinging to hope.'
Calling it naive is being kind.

'What is certain is that demonstrations of pro-Israeli friendship like this are increasingly rare in Europe.'
Very true, thanks  in part to the ceaseless vilification of Israel by the institutionally anti-Israel BBC.

'Is that because Israel's actions are becoming so egregious?'
Obviously that is the BBC position and one that it hopes to spread support for. No need for any investigation of that concept.

'Because of a new alliance between the far-left and Europe's increasingly populous Muslims?'
Ah now there's the real truth but then the BBC is pretty 'far-left' itself, with regard to Israel and the Muslims anyway.'

'Because of the success of the boycott Israel movement?'
A movement that the BBC lauds when it can.

'Who knows'
Oh we know, BBC, we know.

'But on Paris-Plages this year, it's not just pleasure. It's also politics. And police.'
And anti-Semitism, don't forget naked anti-Semitism.

The key questions Jeremy Corbyn must answer per The Jewish Chronicle

Stephen Pollard has pointed me to a must read article in the JC

The key questions and why Jeremy Corbyn should answer them are repeated here:
'If Mr Corbyn is not to be regarded from the day of his election as an enemy of Britain's Jewish community, he has a number of questions which he must answer in full and immediately.
The JC asked him earlier this week to respond. No response has been forthcoming.

1. Did you donate, as alleged by its founder, to Deir Yassin Remembered (DYR), a group that publishes open antisemtism, run by Holocaust denier Paul Eisen — an organisation so extreme that even the Palestine Solidarity Campaign refuses to associate with it?

2. Have you, as Mr Eisen claims, regularly attended DYR's annual conference?

3. Why have you accepted an invitation to appear at a conference on August 22 alongside Carlos Latuff, the notorious anti-Semitic cartoonist?

4. Why did you write to the Church of England authorities to defend Rev Stephen Sizer, a vicar banned from social media because of his habit of posting anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, telling them that Rev Sizer was "under attack" because he had "dared to speak out over Zionism"?

5. Why do you associate with Hamas and Hezbollah and refer to them as your "friends"?

6. Why have you failed to condemn the anti-Semitic posters and banners that dominate the annual Al-Quds Day rally, sponsored by the Stop The War Coalition, which you chair?

7. Why did you describe Raead Salah, a man convicted of the blood libel, as an 'honoured citizen'?'

An unbiased national broadcaster would raise these questions and push Mr Corbyn for proper answers to them. Unfortunately the BBC is so institutionally anti Israel that it is, at best, blind to Mr Corbyn's questionable friends and attitudes towards Jews and Israel.

Really Mr Peston?

This Robert Peston analysis of Jeremy Corbyn's economic policies http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-33884836 contains this thought:
'Even so his opposition to this government's planned cuts to corporation and inheritance tax, and his muscular hatred of tax avoidance and evasion, are not the stuff of swivel-eyed Leninism.

There are plenty of political moderates who question why, at a time of scarce resources, it is a priority for messrs Cameron and Osborne to give tax breaks to better-off dead people.'
Is cutting inheritance tax really a tax break for dead people? Surely the only people who will pay less tax are the living.

Twitter revolutionises private messaging feature with word count change

Twitter has removed the 140-character limit on the site's Direct Message feature - making it the first aspect of the social media platform free of any word limit.
About time...
