Oh for heaven's sake. I learnt the "Couldn't put Humpty together again" line when I suppose I was under the age of two and it hasn't traumatised me, although I am not too fond of hard-boiled eggs.

All the king's horses and all the king's men
Made Humpty Dumpty happy again."
Apparently the BBC have previous form in this area as the fascinating story of Little Miss Muffet was changed on the same channel so that she made friends with the spider rather than fled from it.
