Is Nick Brown possibly the least interesting and effective Labour party spokesman?

I know that there is a lot of competition but on the evidence of tonight's BBC Euro Election programme Nick Brown proved to be even interesting and effective than any other Labour party spokesman?

Tory Bear has the news that Nick Brown may have let the cat out of the bag on Twitter:

"The new speaker will only have a few weeks to get settled in before the election is called"

Really? Somehow I doubt that Gordon Brown has the courage to call an election now or at any point.
