The difference between a media opposed to George W Bush and one so on love with Barack Hussein Obama that they just can't bring themselves to criticise him.

The media pilloried George W Bush for his 'mission accomplished' comments but have given Barack Hussein Obama a free ride over his equally, or worse, remarks that the USA 'have al Qaeda on the run'. The bias and double standards are tangible.

To this social studies teacher, Tanya Dixon-Neely, criticism of Barack Obama is is not allowed - it's disrespectful.

'Another great moment in modern education was preserved for posterity—literally, on acell phone recording—last Monday. The Salisbury Post reports that a social studies teacher at North Rowan High School, in Spencer, N.C., told her class during an animated debate on the relative merits of the two major party presidential candidates that a person could be arrested for speaking ill of President Obama.

The teacher, who is quite obviously an Obama supporter, didn’t specify whether the “law” she was referencing applied to all presidents or just the current one, though she did read students the riot act for daring to “disrespect” Obama in her class, making it clear several times that she will not tolerate this behavior.'

Somehow I doubt that the teacher would have defended George W. Bush from criticism. Despite her comments from 6:00.

I also note that Barack Obama spoke over the National Anthem during his toast to the Queen...

Now he may have been surprised by the start of the National Anthem but surely a quick thinker would have stopped, waited for the end of the anthem and then finished his toast. A polite man might have even apologised to the Queen but Barack Obama just kept on going. The BBC are reporting this as a 'hiccup' and attaching absolutely no blame to Barack Obama, preferring to blame the . I wonder if they would have been as forgiving had it been George W. Bush?

Imagine if it had been George W. Bush

Imagine the furore on the BBC, the calls of what an uneducated idiot, if George W. Bush had signed his name with the wrong day or month. Have I Got News For You and The News Quiz would have been using it for 'material' for months. However as it is Barack Obama who actually put the wrong year down, putting 2008 instead of 2011 under his signature in the visitors book at Westminster Abbey, I predict very little coverage on the BBC and no jokes, just as the coverage of Barack Obama choosing the wrong door at the White House received next to no coverage but that of George W. Bush doing the same received lots of coverage.

The riveting oratorial skills of Barack Obama

Joe Biden fell asleep during Barack Obama's deficit speech yesterday. Oddly the BBC have not bothered to report this although they were obsessed by Ken Clarke falling asleep during George Osborne's Budget speech and I am sure would have run with Dick Cheney falling asleep during a George Bush speech. Just like the recent Barack Obama failure to find the back door into the White House which the BBC ignored although a few years ago they were all over George Bush's similar problem.

The BBC's bias is clear and obvious but they will deny it to their last collective breath.

Why do the left have to see the Republican gains as a race issue

Gordon Brown as sharp as ever, the BBC as biased as ever

That great historian and ex-Prime Minister (that feels so good to say that I will say it again EX Prime Minister) Gordon Brown once again shows how sharp his mind is as he confuses thousands of years with hundreds and then repeats his mistake. Just a quick history lesson for the idiot who managed to do more damage to the UK than any man that I can think of - The Royal Navy may be called the 'Senior Service' but it is not thousands of years old. There was a reasonably large English navy pre the Norman conquest but the Navy Royal was not created until the 16th century and it was not until the Acts of Union in 1707 that the three-ship Royal Scots Navy merged with the English navy to create a British Royal Navy. There you go Gordon, better now?

Of course if a Conservative politician had made such a mistake it would be headline news on the BBC but as it is Gordon, not a word. Just as with Gordon Brown's 'Obama beach' and Barack Obama's 's8 States' the BBC ignores comments that would make its political heroes look or sound bad but will endlessly repeat the mistakes of George W. Bush and Sarah Palin. The best test of this is to compare the number of times that the BBC has played the tape of John Redwood's non-singing of the Welsh National anthem and the number of times it has shown the tape of Gordon Brown picking his nose. As I have never seen the latter on the BBC and I have spoken to people recently who did not believe such a thing even happened...

How can such vile statements and what's essentially hate speech pass for "liberal" commentary in today's political world? This comes three months after Malloy told his listeners that he hoped former Vice President Dick Cheney would die in the hospital. '

He is responsible for the deaths in Afghanistan, Cheney is. He is responsible for the deaths in New York City, at the Pentagon, and the plane crash in Pennsylvania. Dick Cheney is one of the bloodiest sons of bitches ever to have held power and office in this government in terms of deaths that were a direct result of his incompetence and his lies. Dick Cheney.

MALLOY: Her father and her father's puppet George at the very least allowed, at the very worst engineered the worst attack on this country since the War of 1812, and she has the audacity to make this kind of a statement. "Americans expect our President to do everything possible to defend the nation from attack." Where was your father after he deliberately authorized a stand-down, on a day and a time when he knew there was going to be an effort made to attack this country? I don't know why I give this psychopathic misdirected woman, you ought to be there planning your father's funeral, Liz, because I'm sure all the nation's bigwigs, especially the Republicans are going to fall all over themselves to worship in front of his coffin. That's what you ought to be doing instead of making your filthy, insane, gratuitous statements about what the American people expects their president or an administration to do to protect us from terrorist attack. Shame on you, Liz Cheney. Go plan your father's funeral. Just do that. Do at least one thing in your useless life that will have some meaning. Go plan his funeral.'

The most unconvincing backtrack of the year

Speaking at the iftar dinner held at the White House on Friday to mark the breaking of the Ramadan fast, Barack Obama abandoned his administration's previous stance that there would be no comment on the "local" issue of the 'Ground Zero mosque':

"As a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country... And that includes the right to build a place of worship and a community centre on private property in Lower Manhattan, in accordance with local laws and ordinances."

A clear enough statement I would say.

Within 24 hours, Barack Obama was insisting that he had not meant to indicate that he supported the building of the community centre, but was simply making a legal point:

"I was not commenting and I will not comment on the wisdom of making the decision to put a mosque there," he said. "I was commenting very specifically on the right people have that dates back to our founding."

So the genius Barack Obama managed on Friday to upset a large number of people who understndable oppose the building of a mosque on the 'captured ground' at Ground Zero and then within 24 hours to anger those who think that a mosque at the site of the 9/11 massacre would be a good idea. And yet the left call George W. Bush a fool!

More media casual insulting of George W. Bush

T3 magazine this month has a piece on 'Mad Props' which includes a section on Forrest Gump's Nike Cortez's running shoes. This includes this thought

'You'd think having someone mentally challenged promote your wares would be a bad move but given that the USA voted in George W. Bush six years later, maybe not. Zing!'

Here's a piece of mine from a while ago explaining why it is unlikely that George W. Bush was a moron. So as I said in 2007,

'what George Bush is, is inarticulate. He doesn't always come up with the right word in the right situation, but he is not stupid.'

The BBC a contrast in coverage and more on Major Hasan

Do you remember when the news of 9/11 was conveyed to President George W. Bush as he read to children at a school? The BBC and other media used the footage of a shocked and tongue-tied Dubya as an example of how dumb the US President was. Oddly the BBC seem less interested in reporting Barack Obama's initially cringe-making address re the Fort Hood murders some hours after the atrocity took place, just the time to make a "shout out".


Interestingly I read that

"Nidal Malik Hasan was born in Virginia but didn’t think of himself as an American: on a form he filled out at the Muslim Community Center in Silver Spring, Maryland, he gave his nationality not as “American” but as “Palestinian.” A mosque official found that curious, saying: “I don’t know why he listed Palestinian. He was not born in Palestine.”"

I wonder if the BBC will report this story or will they stick to line that religious explanations are a "red herring".


The same Front Page article also contains this interesting section:

"On May 20, 2009, a man giving his name as “NidalHasan” posted this defense of suicide bombing (all spelling and grammar as it is in the original):

There was a grenade thrown amongs a group of American soldiers. One of the soldiers, feeling that it was to late for everyone to flee jumped on the grave with the intention of saving his comrades. Indeed he saved them. He inentionally took his life (suicide) for a noble cause i.e. saving the lives of his soldier. To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. Its more appropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause. Scholars have paralled this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers. If one suicide bomber can kill 100 enemy soldiers because they were caught off guard that would be considered a strategic victory. Their intention is not to die because of some despair. The same can be said for the Kamikazees in Japan. They died (via crashing their planes into ships) to kill the enemies for the homeland. You can call them crazy i you want but their act was not one of suicide that is despised by Islam. So the scholars main point is that “IT SEEMS AS THOUGH YOUR INTENTION IS THE MAIN ISSUE” and Allah (SWT) knows best.

Of course, it may not be the same Nidal Hasan. But there is more. One of his former colleagues, Col. Terry Lee, recalled Hasan saying statements to the effect of “Muslims have the right to rise up against the U.S. military”; “Muslims have a right to stand up against the aggressors”; and even speaking favorably about people who “strap bombs on themselves and go into Times Square.”

Draw your own conclusions, I have.

Another Obama misspeak that will go unreported

Barack Obama's speech at the Palaiz de la Musique et Des Congres in Strasbourg contains this little gem, as per the White House transcript when replying to a question from an Austrian journalist:

"There's a lot of -- I don't know what the term is in Austrian -- wheeling and dealing "

I wonder if Barack Obama studied geography at school? They speak Austrian in Austria... There are 60 states in the USA... I wonder how many other gaps there are in his knowledge and why the media (especially the BBC) don't report his gaffes; they sure as hell would have done if George W. Bush had made them.

Another Barack Obama "slip" and not a word on the BBC

The list of Barack Obama slip-ups increases by the day. The latest one to come to my attention is this:

"Barack Obama wrote a letter to Jacques Chirac to tell him about his desire to "work with him" for the next four years !
In a letter described by Chirac as "very nice," Obama wrote, "I am certain that we will be able to work together, in the coming four years, in a spirit of peace and friendship to build a safer world."
The use of the word "peace" was taken to be an indirect reference to Chirac's stance against the US intervention in Iraq, which Obama had also opposed.

This revelation was made by the online edition of the daily Le Figaro on Thursday."

Just one small snag, Jacques Chirac is no longer the French President, Nicolas Sarkozy was elected President in 2007.

Now if George Bush had made such an error it would have been headline news and referred to on topical news shows but as this is the Obamamessiah... nothing, nada, tumbleweed!

Hillary Clinton gaffe not taken as seriously as a George W. Bush one would have been by the BBC

The BBC report in amused tones that:

"Russian media have been poking fun at the US secretary of state over a translation error on a gift she presented to her Russian counterpart.

Hillary Clinton gave Sergei Lavrov a mock "reset" button, symbolising US hopes to mend frayed ties with Moscow.

But he said the word the Americans chose, "peregruzka", meant "overloaded" or "overcharged", rather than "reset".

Daily newspaper Kommersant declared on its front page: "Sergei Lavrov and Hillary Clinton push the wrong button." "

Can you imagine the fuss if George W. Bush and his team had made such a gaffe? But this is a Democrat administration so just wry amusement.

Another Democrat politician makes a verbal gaffe that the BBC won't report

Nancy Pelosi the rather unpleasant Democrat Speaker House of Representatives has got into the habit of making rather odd claims about the urgency of the economic rescue of America.

"But in terms of what we have to do in the first 100 days, we must address the needs of this country. Five hundred million people will lose their jobs each month until we have an economic package.

CHRIS WALLACE, HOST: No, 500,000.

PELOSI: What did I say, million?

WALLACE: Yes, 500 million. That would really be a recession.

PELOSI: Oh, no. Excuse me. Thank you for correcting me.

WALLACE: Yes.

PELOSI: It feels like 500 million. Five hundred thousand Americans will lose their jobs each month until we have a recovery package."

So we have a Democrat Speaker who confuses 500 million with 500 thousand, a Democrat President who doesn't know how many states there are in the US 60 or 50 and a Democrat Vice President who thinks jobs is a three letter word.

All Democrat gaffes that the BBC has almost completely ignored whereas they loved to repeat every George W. Bush verbal gaffe and of course Dan Quayle's problems with spelling the word potato.
