'In a graduation ceremony at the Al-Hoda Islamic Kindergarten in Gaza, pre-schoolers, wearing uniforms and carrying mock guns and posters of Islamic Jihad leaders, staged a display of terror attacks against Israelis. The footage, which was posted on the kindergarten's YouTube channel on May 29, includes Hebrew lyrics threatening Israelis with missiles and terror attacks and mocking IDF soldier Oron Shaul, whose body has been held by Hamas since 2014.'

Instilling hate in children, now why should that be an 'unresolved issue'?

The BBC report that re peace between Israel and the Palestinians:

'Unresolved issues include:

• The borders between Israel and a future Palestinian state
• The status of Jerusalem
• Israel's insistence that it be recognised as a Jewish state
• The Palestinians' demand that their refugees be allowed to return to their former homes in what is now Israel
• Security arrangements in the West Bank.'

Apparently brainwashing Palestinian children to hate Jews and to call them 'barbaric monkeys' and 'wretched pigs' is not of any relevance to preventing peace. Apparently describing the Jews as being so 'impure' that 'Jerusalem vomits from within it your (Jews) impurity' and describing Jews as 'you who are filth' is not of any relevance to the peace process.

When was the last time the BBC reported on the Palestinian authorities brainwashing of children to hate Jews? Why don't the BBC report such brainwashing?

There are segments of this video where you'll need to be able to understand French or Hebrew but they are relatively short and the rest is very powerful.

So depressing but that's what brainwashing children to hate begets. The Israel Haters ignore such evidence, because they just hate Israel so much, as they themselves have been taught to do.

In the last few days I have seen two rather odd examples of the way that a dictator considered a Communist can still be revered in a way that Hitler could (quite rightly) not. Westminster University is holding an exhibition called 'Poster Power: Images from Mao's China, Then and Now' at its 309 Regents Street building. Here's the blurb:

'Posters from Mao’s China exercise an enduring appeal to audiences across the globe, more than sixty years after the events that produced them. They are revisited in modern and contemporary Chinese art and commercial design, and curated in exhibitions in China, the US and Europe.

So why does imagery produced to support a revolutionary ideology half a century ago continue to resonate with current Chinese and Western audiences? What is the China we see between posters of the Mao years and their contemporary consumerist reinventions? How do we explain the diverse responses such imagery evokes? And what does the appeal of the posters of Mao’s China tell us about the country’s ‘red legacy’?

Poster Power explores some of these questions through setting up a visual dialogue between posters produced between the 1950s and the 1970s and their echoes in recent years. With posters from the University of Westminster’s Chinese Poster Collection, Chinese video art, documentary film, photographs, and contemporary items such as playing cards and nightclub advertising, the exhibition invites viewers to explore the posters’ ambiguities of appeal to their audiences. These posters’ capacity to inspire ambiguous responses opens up new narratives of what remains a complex period of China’s recent past, and sheds light on its changing significance in contemporary China.'

Why not a word, nor even an allusion to the around 50 million people killed by the Chinese regime since 1949? why not a mention of the many millions tortured by the Chinese regime and forced to give up their "intellectual" jobs to work on the land as "workers", would that not have resonance for current students? Why not a mention of those killed around Tienanmen Square? Why not a mention of the invasion of Tibet and the destruction of so much Buddhist life? Why not a mention of the human rights abuses that occurred around the Beijing Olympics?

The other example was in an antique shop the other week where there was a small number of photos of Chairman Mao in a case and nobody seemed to think this was odd.

Can you imagine the furore if an antique shop had a collection of Adolph Hitler images on display? Can you imagine the protests if a British University held an exhibition of posters from Nazi Germany and did not put them into context?

Adolph Hitler's Nazi Germany killed around seven million people and the regime is rightly abhorred. Mao's communist regime in China killed many many more (as did Stalin's communist regime in the Soviet Union) and yet there is hardly a word of protest in remembrance now. Schools teach the evils of Nazism & the BBC raise the subject regularly, and quite rightly so, but the equally (or more) evils of Mao and Stalin's communist regimes are mentioned far less; why is that the case? Maybe it is something to do with the backgrounds of a large proportion of the BBC, Labour Party leadership and educational elite in this country; once a Marxist, always a Marxist?

Man Made Climate Change - a discrepancy in presentation of the facts

Whilst it is reported that 'NASA Targets Children with ‘Climate Kids’ Website', a website that states as fact that 'The planet is warming up fast--faster than at any time scientists know about from their studies of Earth's entire history.' - something that is demostrably untrue - but also that 'Scientists have discovered that humans are causing this warming', really? Is this proven? ClimateQuotes has some more analysis of the NASA site and some facscinating comments that deserve wide readership.

Meanwhile Climate Realists report verbatim from a report by Dr. Don Easterbrook from SPPI that:

'Temperature changes recorded in the GISP2 ice core from the Greenland Ice Sheet show that the global warming experienced during the past century pales into insignificance when compared to the magnitude of profound climate reversals over the past 25,000 years.

SIGNIFICANCE OF PREVIOUS GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGES

If CO2 is indeed the cause of global warming, then global temperatures should mirror the rise in CO2. For the past 1000 years, atmospheric CO2 levels remained fairly constant at about 280 ppm (parts per million). Atmospheric CO2 concentrations began to rise during the industrial revolution early in the 20th century but did not exceed about 300 ppm. The climatic warming that occurred between about 1915 and 1945 was not accompanied by significant rise in CO2. In 1945, CO2 emission began to rise sharply and by 1980 atmospheric CO2 had risen to just under 340 ppm. During this time, however, global temperatures fell about 0.9°F (0.5° C) in the Northern Hemisphere and about 0.4°F (0.2° C) globally. Global temperatures suddenly reversed during the Great Climate Shift of 1977 when the Pacific Ocean switched from its cool mode to its warm mode with no change in the rate of CO2 increase. The 1977–1998 warm cycle ended in 1999 and a new cool cycle began. If CO2 is the cause of global warming, why did temperatures rise for 30 years (1915-1945) with no significant increase in CO2? Why did temperatures fall for 30 years (1945-1977) while CO2 was sharply accelerating? Logic dictates that this anomalous cooling cycle during accelerating CO2 levels must mean either (1) rising CO2 is not the cause of global warming or (2) some process other than rising CO2 is capable of strongly overriding its effect on global atmospheric warming.'

I look forward to NASA's apology for producing such misleading information, but I fear I will wait in vain.

The next generation of Israel's 'partners for peace'

The Palestinian Authority's brainwashing programme is yielding dividends... I especially 'like' the line "He died by poisoning from the Jews. Well I don't know what he died from, but I know it was by the Jews"

There are many stories about what Yasser Arafat died from and it seems that he died without any help from 'the Jews'.

I hope that all those BBC experts who explain that the Palestinians are not anti-Jew but anti-Israel see how the PA are teaching their youngsters to hate the Jews. I think that you will find that it is a religious thing.

Brainwashing the next generation about green issues especially man made climate change

Nick Duerden in The Independent has written a good piece on the brainwashing of the nation's children about green issues and the encouragement for them to use 'pester power' to change the habits of their parents. Please read the whole piece but here are a few extracts:

'After her second day at school, my four-year-old daughter sat me down at the kitchen table for a conversation. She wanted me to explain exactly how I take her to school each morning.

"It's not by car, is it?" she said.

I confirmed to her that, no, it wasn't by car.

"We go by bicycle when daddy is running late; otherwise we walk," I told her.

"Good," she replied.

I asked why.

"Cars are bad."

I learned later that upon arrival at her reception class each day pupils have to tick a box on a piece of paper denoting how they journeyed to school that morning. Though they are never told in quite so many words that cars are actually bad, they are nevertheless steered, by their eco-aware teacher, towards the two former modes of transport – because cycling and walking are both environmentally friendly, and environmentally friendly, as my daughter appears already to know, is "good".

Friends who have children older than my own have told me this is just the tip of an iceberg which (so long as the iceberg doesn't inconveniently melt due to global warming) will continue to grow as she does.

"Mine told me to turn off the hoover the other day," a father said to me, "because it used too much energy. She also stands by me while I brush my teeth, to make sure I have the tap turned off while I'm doing it."

This, I know now, is pester power in action. And in a world where we must all become more green aware, it is children who are at the very forefront of the movement, children who collectively soak up all the information like the sponges they are, before disseminating it in a manner that, rather winningly, brooks no argument.

In the UK today, more than 67 per cent of schools have now signed up to the Eco-Schools Programme.

But pester power is not without its share of controversies. Not all -parents, after all, necessarily want their children at such a young age to get on such a high horse, not least when an increasing number of people are starting to feel that the purported realities of global warming have been exaggerated, perhaps for politically motivated reasons.

"Not all parents appreciate the message," Andrew Suter says, "and, yes, we do occasionally encounter scepticism. But our response to that is simply to say that all we are really doing is encouraging children to care about the world around them, and to do positive things in it. Nobody, surely, could have an issue with that."

He concludes, pointedly, by saying that children themselves have yet to question the veracity of climate change, "chiefly because they are children. They are not cynical yet." '

I think more cynicism about man made climate change is needed.

Equating climate change activists with Islamic jihadis

It was an easy comparison to make; climate change activists like 10:10 and Islamic jihadis. So to take 10:10's disgusting video and Islamicise it was a simple but effective idea. Speaking as someone who knew one person who was blown into pieces on 7/7, I am deeply offended by the 10:10 video and they deserve all the opprobium being heaped upon them. I also will never watch a Richard Curtis film again and will campaign for him to be excluded from ever writing for Doctor Who again.

Brainwashing the children

A junior school class in Diane Abbott's constituency who have been taught to love the heroic Dianne Abbot and to have good right-on political views.

This is how the left try and ensure their hold on power, get the children early and teach them the 'correct views' to hold. A sickening piece of video?

Further to this recent piece I have discovered that the BBC did not report the whole of what was said on the video. The BBC reported the video thus:

"The video shows a girl and young boy playing with guns and a man's voice says: "What do you do with the weapon?"

He answers his own question: "I want to kill the infidels [non-believers]." "

However thanks to Harry's Place I now know that

"the conversation continues:

Man 1: inaudible Yahudi.
Man 2: You kill the Jews… You must kill the Jews"

I wonder why the BBC wanted to keep that piece of news back? No I don't really, I think I know full well why...

Of course those of us familiar with the practices of Hamas in Gaza know that this sort of thing is par for the course amongst Islamic terrorists.

Tuesday morning catchup

Too mnay interesting things to blog about and not enough time this morning, so here's a few in summary form.

2. Donal Blaney reports the latest piece of US Democrat brainwashing and Obamamessiah news; that:

"In an effort to brainwash kids, Random House have published Barack Obama - Out Of Many, One, a book targeted at 5-7 year olds and that I have been sent by a concerned parent. It makes for very disturbing reading. Needless to say George W Bush didn't merit such a book to be written about him.

Out Of Many, One is a piece of propaganda that Goebbels would have been proud to have produced.

Out Of Many, One omits reference to One Term Barry's education at a madrassa in Indonesia, his work with the corrupt community group, Acorn, his underhanded campaigning in the City of Sleaze (aka Chicago) or his consorting with domestic terrorists such as Bill Ayers and hate-filled preachers and race-mongers such as Jeremiah Wright or Al Sharpton. Instead kids are force-fed a diet of one-sided pap that would make Stalin blush. The only surprise in Out Of Many, One is that his white grandmother actually gets a mention. "

I do wonder if the US Democrats really want to encoiurage this 'cult of personality', have they no knowledge of history and how such left wing cults end up - Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot etc. etc.


3. Tory Bear wonders how low the Gordian will go and concludes that:
