Trimble came good

University Challenge Final and after the recent publicity regarding Gail Trimble I was quite disappointed until her final burst of question answering. It is a shame that more people in this Country will know who Jade Goody is than will know who Gail Trimble is. The former thought "East Angular [sic] ... was abroad", "didn't realise Aberdeen was in Scotland" and that "Portugal was in Spain" and who made some rather nasty racist comments on TV; the latter seems a polite, intelligent and cultured young lady. In Labour Britain is it any surprise that Jade Goody is a household name and a heroine for many of the Country's youth, whilst Gail Trimble is called by some "a hateful know-it-all" and an "annoying bitch"?
