'It is absurd. I had no intention to absolve Hitler of responsibility for his diabolical destruction of European Jewry. Hitler was responsible for the Final Solution to exterminate six million Jews. He made ​​the decision. My intention was not to absolve Hitler of his responsibility, but rather to show that the forefathers of the Palestinian nation, without a country and without the so-called 'occupation', without land and without settlements, even then aspired to systematic incitement to exterminate the Jews.

Unfortunately, Haj Amin al-Husseini is still a revered figure in Palestinian society, he appears in textbooks and it is taught that he is one of the founding fathers of the nation, and this incitement that started then with him, inciting the murder of Jews - continues. Not in the same format, but in a different one and this is the root of the problem. To stop the murders, it is necessary to stop the incitement.

What is important is to recognize the historical facts and not ignore them, not then and not today".'

I have spoken of @DD1958 aka POPS! before, he's the nasty piece of work who denies Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state, claims all of Israel is Palestinian land and calls Israel an apartheid state.

What really gets my goat (pun intended) is the way that he and others try to equate Israel's treatment of the Palestinians with the treatment of the Jews by the Nazis. This comparison is not only demonstrably false, it's deliberately offensive.

Earlier today I saw a comparison of Auschwitz and Gaza on Twitter, so I re-tweeted it to @DD1958 and some others who were associated with this tweet...

One half is a seriously unpleasant image of Jewish children suffering in Auschwitz but it's an image that we should never forget so long as there are Islamists (and others) that both want to recreate the holocaust whilst oddly often denying that it happened in the first place. People like Mahmoud Abbas and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - that's the joy of being (or supporting) Palestinians; being able to hold two contradictory opinions at the same time but not to be challenged on this.

@DD1958 aka Pops! however decided he could 'take offence', accused me of posting 'porn' and reported me for so doing.

His motives are clear. Supporters of the 'Palestinans' make many offensive and untrue claims about Israel and they just can't abide the truth being publicised. Censorship of the truth was a favourite tactic of the Nazis in Germany, the communists in Soviet Russia and many other dictators and totalitarians throughout history, thankfully free speech does still exist in the West, well just about, despite the best efforts of people like @DD1958.

Is criticism of Israel antisemitic?

Many people quite deliberately make the comparison of Israel to Nazi Germany in order to cause maximum offence to Jews. The anti-Semites know what they're doing and revel in the pain and hurt that they cause.

Lest we forget, today is the 74th anniversary of the signing of the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact between the Russian communist state and the German Nazi state. There are some who claim that this was just a non-aggression pact, it was much more than that. The treaty also included a protocol that divided the various territories of Romania, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland into Nazi and Soviet "spheres of influence", anticipating the potential "territorial and political rearrangements" of these countries.

The Russian Communists were happy to have a pact with Nazi Germany, to deal with that anti-Semitic, evil state. Russia only turned on the Nazi regime after the Hitler's Nazi Germany invaded Russia in June 1941.

Let nobody convince you that Russia stood up to the evils of Nazism. Russia's Communist leaders were happy to be in a pact with Nazi Germany right up until Nazi Germany reneged on the deal.

Tomorrow is the 70th anniversary of the end of the Warsaw ghetto uprising, the largest revolt against the Nazis extermination of the Jews during the Second World War. The revolt was put down but not before 13,000 Jews were killed in the ghetto during the uprising of which around 6,000 were burnt alive or died from smoke inhalation. Once the revolt was ended the remaining 50,000 residents were mostly shipped to concentration and extermination camps, in particular Treblinka.

Jürgen Stroop's internal SS daily report for written on 16 May 1943, stated:

"180 Jews, bandits and sub-humans, were destroyed. The former Jewish quarter of Warsaw is no longer in existence. The large-scale action was terminated at 20:15 hours by blowing up the Warsaw Synagogue. ... Total number of Jews dealt with 56,065, including both Jews caught and Jews whose extermination can be proved. ... Apart from 8 buildings (police barracks, hospital, and accommodations for housing working-parties) the former Ghetto is completely destroyed. Only the dividing walls are left standing where no explosions were carried out."

Why do I bring this matter up today? First because it's an important anniversary but second because Lynne Jones used this anniversary for one of her customary anti-Israel Tweets:

Subtlety is not really her string point is it, mind you neither is understanding of the reality of the Israel / Palestinian conflict.

As a matter of interest, 18 days after I posted this to show Lynne Jones that Hamas did indeed regularly 
speak hatred against Jews, Lynne Jones has not yet managed to provide a response. Why?

Today is V.E. Day

Today is V.E. Day, the day we celebrate the victory of the Allied powers over Nazi Germany which ended the Second World War. The history of the end of the Second World War: the fight for Berlin, the last days in Hitler's bunker and the subsequent chaos make for interesting study but the real sentiment should be relief that the war ended and sorrow for the millions of people (Jews and others) murdered by the German National Socialist Party lead Germany and for the other civilians and armed forces that died to free Europe from Nazi tyranny.

Unfortunately the end of the Second World War did not end tyranny. Instead it ushered in a period of Communist tyrannical rule in Eastern Europe that would last until 1989, some would argue longer. It must be remembered that not only did the Russian Communist rulers kill many more civilians than Nazi Germany, but also that the Russian Communists were willing allies of Nazi Germany right up until Germany invaded Russia. National Socialism in Germany and Communism in Russia started as bedfellows and might have remained so had Hitler not made a grievous error.

'Nov. 29, 1947 was the day the UN General Assembly passed the plan to recommend the partition the British Mandate of Palestine into a Jewish state and an Arab state. The Jews accepted the plan. The Arabs -- both local and regional - rejected it. The local Arabs who 25 years later became known as "Palestinians," responded to the passage of UNGA resolution 181 by launching a terror war against the Jews. Their war was commanded by Iraqi and Lebanese terror masters and supported by the British military and its Arab Legion from Transjordan.

On November 28, 1941 the religious and political leader of the Palestinian Arabs and one of the most influential leaders of the Arab world Haj Amin el Husseini met with Adolf Hitler in Berlin. Husseini had courted the Nazis since just after the Nazis rose to power in 1933. Husseini was forced to flee the British Mandate in 1937 when he expanded his fourth terror war against the Jews, that he began in 1936 to include the British as well.

He fled to Lebanon, and then in October 1939 he fled to Iraq. In April 1941 he fomented a pro-Nazi coup in Iraq. As the British -- with massive unheralded assistance from the Jews from the land of Israel -- were poised to enter Baghdad and restore the pro-British government, Husseini incited the Farhud, a 3-day pogrom against the Jews of Baghdad that took place over the festival of Shavuot. 150 Jews were murdered. A thousand were wounded and 900 Jewish homes were destroyed. 

With the coup defeated and the Jews murdered, Husseini escaped to then pro-Nazi Iran and then in October to Germany by way of Italy. (He was flown out of Iran on an Italian Air Force plane, and feted by Mussolini when he landed in Rome). 

He arrived in Berlin and two and a half weeks later he had a prolonged private meeting with Hitler. There, on November 28, 1941, two months before the Wannssee Conference, where the German high command received its first orders to annihilate European Jewry, Hitler told Husseini that he intended to eradicate the Jewish people from the face of Europe.

Husseini remained in Berlin through the end of the war and served as a Nazi agent. In Berlin he broadcast daily diatribes to the Arab world on German shortwave radio in Arabic. Specifically Husseini exhorted them to kill the Jews in the name of Allah and make common cause with the Nazis who would deliver them from the Jews, the British and the Americans. 

In 1943 Husseini organized the Hazhar SS Division of Bosnian Muslims. His division carried out the massacre of 90 percent of the Bosnian Jewish community of 12,000. 

In 1920 Husseini personally invented what later became known as the Palestinian national movement. He shaped its identity around the sole cause of destroying the Jewish presence in the land of Israel. 

During the war Husseini used his broadcasts to shape the political and religious  consciousness of the Muslim world by fusing Islamic Jew hatred with annihilationist Nazi anti-Semitism. Whereas much of the Nazi anti-Semitic ideology was discredited in postwar Europe, it has remained the single most resonant theme of Arab politics since World War II. 

In 1946, as his fellow Nazi war criminals were being tried in Nuremberg, Husseini made a triumphant return to Egypt where he was welcomed as a war hero by King Farouk, the Muslim Brotherhood and the young officers in the Egyptian army who fused Nazi national socialism with the Islamism of the Muslim Brotherhood and took over Egypt after deposing Farouk in 1951.

The founder of Palestinian nationalism's singleminded dedication to the genocide of Jewry brings us to the second notable but forgotten anniversary we passed over this month.'

Islam's Role in the Holocaust

Written because whilst Germany has apologised for its major part in the holocaust and the attempted destruction of world Jewry, the Islamic world has not apologised for its part. Atlas Shrugged has 29 posts detailing the active participation of Muslim troops in the German armed forces and in the carrying out of the holocaust. The 29 articles are long and exhaustive, here are just a few very short extracts:

'Many Muslims fought on the German side during World War II. The Wehrmacht had six legions with a Muslim majority and the SS had three Muslim divisions, a brigade and a Waffenbrigade. Each Muslim unit got a mullah as an adviser. In November 1944, an SS mullah school was established in Dresden, founded by Himmler.

Ideological whip this alliance was the notorious anti-Semite, Mohammed Amin al-Husseini (1893-1974), who as Grand Mufti of Jerusalem had a certain religious authority. The Muslims from the Soviet Union (Azerbajan, Crimea and Volga Tatars, North Caucasians, Bashkir, Uzbek and other Central Asian peoples) wer with other members of non-Russian minority peoples of the Soviet Union (Armenians, Georgians, Ukrainians) in the armed forces as may be determined Ostlegionen, in which only Non-Russians were. They were recruited mainly among Soviet prisoners of war.

What did Heinrich Himmler and Grand Mufti Amin el-Husseini have to do with each other? Oh, here, Küntzel again. "Heinrich Himmler enthused about the ideological bond between National Socialism and Islam. " He also introduced the term, "Muselgermanen" and el-Husseini pointed out the ideological similarities between Muslims and Germans. These were said to include obedience and discipline, the will to battle, and the honor of falling in battle, community, family and offspring, the glorification of labor and creating, and relations to the Jews. The Mufti declared, 'in fighting Judaism, Islam and the Nazis are coming very close to one another.'

Islamic Jew hatred. It's what drives the genocide of the Jews in the Muslim world today. It's what drove the Muslim world in their partnership with Hitler, and it fueled the oppression, humiliation, and slaughter of the Jews throughtout Islamic history.
The role of the Mufti and the Muslim world in World War II has been whitewashed from history. Why? So that they might rise again to commit the same unspeakable, horrific crimes againt humanity?
Haj Amin al-Husseini should have been executed at Nuremberg. Instead, he was given the same status of The Jewish Agency at the UN in 1947, when it was debating the partition of the Jewish State, despite the stunning evidence (documents, files, etc.) against him (outlined here) and presented to the UN.

According to testimony by Nazi war criminals, the Mufti's influence was critical to the German decision to annihilate the Jews of Europe. At the Nuremberg Trials in July 1946, Eichmann's deputy Dieter Wisliceny (subsequently executed as a war criminal) testified: (here)

"The Mufti was one of the initiators of the systematic extermination of European Jewry and had been a collaborator and adviser of Eichmann and Himmler in the execution of this plan... He was one of Eichmann's best friends and had constantly incited him to accelerate the extermination measures. I heard him say, accompanied by Eichmann, he had visited incognito the gas chambers of Auschwitz."

Now we find that the Nazis promised the leader of the Muslim world, Haj Amin al-Husseini, 
leadership of Palestine after slaughter of its Jews, according to a US report.

A newly released report by the US National Archives details the close collaborative relationship between Nazi leaders and the grand mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, indicating that Nazi authorities planned to use Husseini as their leader after their conquest of Palestine.

Husseini was paid handsomely by the Nazis for his efforts, recruited Muslims for the SS and was promised that he would be made Palestine’s leader after its Jewish population of 350,000 had been murdered.

The report, Hitler’s Shadow: Nazi War Criminals, US Intelligence and the Cold War, was prepared on the basis of thousands of documents declassified under the 1998 Nazi War Crimes Disclosure Act.

“Hitler’s Shadow” is an addendum to a 2004 US government report, US Intelligence and the Nazis.

The new report’s authors, Norman J.W. Goda of the University of Florida and Richard Breitman of American University, said the addendum was particularly important.

“We thought the information was significant and detailed,” Breitman told The Jerusalem Post regarding the newly uncovered facts on the Jerusalem mufti in particular.

“We thought the April 1945 contract between the [German] Foreign Office and Husseini was striking evidence of an ideological collaboration both sides hoped would continue after the war.”

Husseini, who died in Beirut in 1974, was apparently paid 50,000 marks per month, and 80,000 additional marks a month for living expenses, according to a contract with the Germans. This was a time when a German field officer typically earned 25,000 marks a year.

According to the report, on November 28, 1941, Adolf Hitler told Husseini that the Afrika Korps would “liberate” Arabs in the Middle East and that “Germany’s only objective there would be the destruction of the Jews.”

“SS leaders and Husseini both claimed that Nazism and Islam had common values as well as common enemies – above all, the Jews,” the report states.

What follows are excerpts from the 1947 Maurice Pearlman book, The Mufti of Jerusalem:

Extermination of European Jewry

“Arabs, rise and fight as one for your sacred rights. Kill the Jews wherever you find them. This pleases God, history and religion. This saves your honour, God is with you.”

This, and similar appeals recurred time and again in the ex-Mufti’s broadcast addresses, during the war. They occur in almost every extract reproduced in the chapter on Haj Amin’s propaganda activities. It was known during the war that Jews in Europe were being exterminated. It was known that the ex- Mufti had had a hand in the massacres of Jews in the Arab countries. But it was not known until after that war that Haj Amin’s anti-Jewish activities had extended beyond the incitement stage.

It has now been established that five million seven hundred thousand Jews in Europe were exterminated in Nazi concentration camps. It has now also been established that the Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin el Husseini, played an active role in that unprecedented massacre of a people. Records found in Nazi archives and evidence produced at the Nuremberg trial reveal in specific terms that the ex-Mufti was a leading henchman of the SS Obersturmbannfuehrer Eichmann, principal executive officer in the liquidation of European Jewry. It is now established that, but for Haj Amin, the scale of murder might not have been so extensive, and hundreds of thousands of Jewish lives might have been saved.

Suspicions that the ex-Mufti’s voice was not being used for the microphone alone were first aroused in 1942 when the first European Jewish refugees managed to reach Palestine. They brought stories from some of Europe’s ghettoes where German Templars (see chapter 9, page 55) were reported to be in charge of the liquidation of Jews under the supreme direction of Eichmann. Eichmann, who had himself spent some years in Palestine as a Nazi agent, was an expert on Jewish affairs, and he had directed the Gestapo department of Jewish affairs at the Gestapo head office in Berlin since 1936. It was he who before the war had directed the expropriation and dispatch to concentration camps of German Jews. It was he who after the war had started organized the deportation of Jews from Germany and the occupied territories to what eventually became the extermination camps in German, Czechoslovakia, and Poland. It was he who planned the gas chamber method of mass murder.

It was assumed that there might be some connection between Haj Amin and Eichmann as soon as it was learned that he had roped in the Palestinian German Templars as some of his key men. This assumption was strengthened bt a Radio Berlin broadcast of 5th October, 1943, which reported that “Haj Amin el Husseini, Mufti of Jerusalem, has arrived in Frankfurt for the purpose of visiting the research Institute on Jewish Problem. At the time of his visit, Haj Amin declared that the Arabs and the Germans are partners and allies in the battle against world Jewry.”

Subsequent German broadcasts showed that the ex-Mufti was a leading figure at most of the anti-Jewish conventions in Germany and the occupied territories. In July, 1943, the Nazis announced that, unable to attend that Nazi conference of journalists held in Vienna, the Mufti had sent them a message “congratulating them on the success of their anti-Jewish campaign and conveyed special greetings to Arab and Indian delegates.”

Then came a hint in one of Haj Amin’s broadcasts which was not fully understood at the time. In a Berlin radio speech on 21st September 1944, the ex-Mufti asked: “Is it not in your power, O Arabs, to repulse the Jews whose number does not exceed eleven millions?”

Why “eleven millions”? No one outside Germany knew at the time the scale of Jewish extermination. It was known that before the war the Jewish population numbered nearly seventeen millions. The ex-Mufti’s figure was written off at the time as a slip of the tongue, or an error in the script. But now the facts are known. It was no arithmetic error. Haj Amin knew then what only Hitler, Himmler and Eichmann knew: that more than five million Jews had been liquidated.

But real evidence of Haj Amin’s complicity emerged only with the defeat of Nazism, the Allied occupation of Germany, and the evidence of produced at the Nuremberg trial.

The first revealing document to be discovered was Document No. 1752- PS headed “Preparations already made for the International Congress.” It was dated “Berlin, 15th June 1944,” and it opened with this sentence: “Reichsleader Alfred Rosenberg received the order from the Fuhrer to stage an anti-Jewish congress….It was fixed for the 11th July and held in the eastern Reich, under the auspices of Himmler, Goebbels, Dr. Frank and Von Ribbentrop. Representatives of most of the satellite countries attended it. The document adds:

Italy: Minister for National Enlightenment, Mezzasoma (hon. Committee).

The former Minister of State, Preziosi (congress committee and congress lecturer.

France: Minister for Education, Avel Bonnard (hon. Committee).

Secretary of State, Paul Marion (congress committee).

Hungary : Minister for the Interior, von Jarosh (hon. Committee and congress lecturer).

Holland: Leader of the NSB, Mussert (personally invited by Reichsleader Rosenberg during the latter’s stay in Holland).

Arabia: The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem (hon. Committee and congress lecturer).

Norway: At the present moment, a representative of Reichsleader Rosenberg has arrived here in order personally to convey an invitation to a Prime Minister Quisling to attend.”

It is a digression but nevertheless a point of interest that of all these congress committee members mentioned above, the ex-Mufti is the only one who is free and alive. The rest were either executed or condemned to death in absentia. Mezzasoma was shot with Mussolini on 28th April, 1945; Marion is, at the time of writing, in a French prison awaiting trail; Bonnard fled to Barcelona with Laval and was sentenced to death in absentia on 7th April 1946; Jarossh was condemned to death by a Hungarian People’s Court in January, 1946; Quisling of Norway was sentenced to death and executed 24th October, 1945.'

The reports go on and on and on and can be a little repetitive as the same subjects and photos do crop up more than once however this is a story that hardly ever gets a mention in the main stream media (MSM) and is one that explains a lot about modern Islam's war against Israel and Jews in general. Why this story is not something that the MSM wants to explore I will leave to your imagination but I think the reasons are self-evident.

Egyptian democracy

When the uprising in Egypt was happening, I and some others predicted that the result would not be the flourishing of a secular multi-party democracy as the BBC were saying, but instead a Muslim theocracy. The BBC played down this threat I wonder how they will react to the news that the hurried referendum in Egypt will result in elections before all but the Muslim Brotherhood and Mubarak's National Democratic Party have had a chance to get organised into political parties. The referendum saw some 77 per cent of Egyptians side with the Muslim Brotherhood by saying “Yes” to a quick patch-up of the existing Egyptian constitution. So the result of the referendum will be early elections and the result of the early elections will be victory for the Muslim Brotherhood with the main opposition party being the National Democratic Party.

The BBC kept telling us that the revolution was a secular revolution, that the Muslim Brotherhood were neither behind it nor poised to take control and that if they did then they were not really an Islamist party anyway. The truth is of course somewhat different; yes the Muslim Brotherhood were not the instigators of the revolution bu they were poised to take control and they are definitely an Islamist party. It seems that the Brothers have been informing the religious Muslims in Egypt that it was their duty as good Muslims to vote for the Muslim Brotherhood. As in Gaza where Hamas morphed into a social care organisation within the territory whilst waiting for the chance to take power, so in Egypt  the politically banned Muslim Brotherhood has provided charity and an Islamic education to many of Egypt's poor - now they can reap the reward of power.



I predict that the Muslim Brotherhood will start off pretending to be relatively secular but within a year Sharia Law will be on the agenda and the democratic will of the people as expressed through the result of elections will be used to implement Sharia Law as well as withdrawing from peace with Israel. Just as Adolph Hitler subverted democracy in 1930's Germany to concentrate power in his Nazi Party so the modern day successors to the Mufti, who allied himself with Hitler, will do the same in modern day Egypt. History has a nasty habit of repeating itself and just as Jews were the biggest victim of the Nazi's coming to power in 1930's Germany so they will be when the Muslim Brotherhood take power in Egypt.

To the BBC it's the little things

The BBC report on the couples 'Sharing a Wedding Day with Will and Kate but being the BBC there has to be 'a pop' at royalty in there somewhere:

'In a far bleaker association, it is also the day Eva Braun is thought to have married Adolf Hitler in the bunker in Berlin, before they committed suicide together.

That coincidence, and the question of whether Prince Harry might point it out to the royal couple, drew enough attention to make it one of the top trending topics on Twitter on Tuesday'

Yes there we go, because Prince Harry once wore an unfortunate choice of uniform to a fancy dress party he's fair game to be linked to Nazism and Adolph Hitler for ever more.  Oddly the BBC seem not to hold that opinion of another public figure who once dressed in a Nazi uniform; Ed Balls as his transgression is not mentioned by the BBC; anyone might think the BBC were in some way... biased.

Inside the 'concentration camp' that is Gaza

The nasty and the hateful have decided that if they call Gaza a 'concentration camp' they will gain even more publicity for their campaign against the existence of Israel and really upset Jews who know what a 'concentration camp' really is because they lost large parts of their families in them during the Nazi rule of Germany.

I have blogged previously about the real situation in Gaza, some can be found amongst the postings here so I was not surprised to find these photos of Gaza. What is interesting to me is not just the photos of a clean and prosperous Gaza such as in the photos at the top of this piece but that even in the photos that show a 'dirty' Gaza such as this one...

... it looks no dirtier or less developed than any number of towns I have visited in the subcontinent and further abroad. This is how poor people live in the vast majority of the world, it is us in the prosperous West that just don't see it and so don't understand.

For those who call Gaza a 'concentration camp', look at the people in the photos above and see their full shops, stalls and bellies and then look at these photos of Jews in Nazi concentration camps...
