Will there be tears for Peaches Geldof from Richard Bacon today?

Will there be tears for Peaches Geldof from Richard Bacon today? If there are then maybe you should watch this video as well... Can I suggest that from 2:48 would be the most illuminating.

It's from the BBC's Most Annoying Person list for 2010 - Peaches Geldof. What's that you're saying Richard Bacon?

"No matter how much we might want Peaches to go away"

Hmmm, want to retract those unfortunate words now, Richard Bacon? I'm sure you just meant you wanted her to disappear from the public eye, but even so... a tad unfortunate given what's happened?

As I Tweeted yesterday, Peaches Geldof's death is a tragedy for her family and friends but should not have been the top news story on the BBC news last night. Celebrity deaths are given way too much attention in our celebrity obsessed culture.

Tasteless joke of the day. Maybe of the year in fact

What do Kate Middleton and my broken Xbox have in common?

They both have the ring of death.

Tasteful? (update)

Further to this post about Erykah Badu's controversial music video in which she strips naked in public in Dealey Plaza, the site of President John F. Kennedy's assassination, and at the end falls to the ground as if shot. I read on the BBC that 'US neo-soul singer Erykah Badu has been charged with disorderly conduct for stripping naked on a street among pedestrians for her music video shoot.'

Tasteful? It would seem maybe not...

Tasteful?

That's American soul singer Erykah Badu with her controversial music video in which she strips naked in public in Dealey Plaza, the site of President John F. Kennedy's assassination, and at the end falls to the ground as if shot. "When I fall to the ground in the video, the word groupthink spills out of my head because I was assassinated by groupthink", she said.

Possibly the sickest film beginning that I have seen

If this is for real then I think it is in very poor taste...

UPDATE:
It appears that this is for real, "Postal - The Movie" by Uwe Boll opens in the US in a month. Is this really a subject for a comedy film?

DNA sampling (update)

My recent piece about possible government plans "that "Men using brothels and massage parlours should be made to give DNA samples in an effort to reduce the number of prostitute murders, an MP has said." That MP was ex-Labour minister Denis MacShane." The argument being "because almost all the horrible murders of prostituted women are by men who have frequented them beforehand.”

Ministry of Truth has a marvelously accurate piece on this subject, take a read, including:

"Tell you what Denis, while we’re at it why not suggest that the police should take DNA samples from everyone who’s got a bank account because almost all bank robbers are people who frequented banks beforehand?

Or how about taking samples from everyone visiting a Jobcentre because almost all people who fiddle the dole have visited them beforehand?

Or better still, how about taking DNA samples from MPs as they pop into the office to put their expenses claims because we can be fucking well certain they’ve all visited there beforehand?"

DNA sampling

I read on the BBC News website that "Men using brothels and massage parlours should be made to give DNA samples in an effort to reduce the number of prostitute murders, an MP has said." That MP was ex-Labour minister Denis MacShane.

Now, leaving aside the rights and wrongs of collecting DNA from the general population and indeed the rights and wrongs of men visiting brothels and massage parlours; don't most men that visit such places already leave a deposit of DNA somewhere on the premises during their visit?

Sorry was that too tasteless a gag? Hold on, I could go double entendre nuts at this point, so I think I will end this post.....
