'Lady Tonge said she had known Mr Corbyn for a long time, sharing support for Palestine and meeting Hamas leaders on a joint trip to Gaza.

"I marched alongside Tony Benn and Jeremy Corbyn, one on either side. I went to Gaza with Jeremy Corbyn and we met Hamas leaders together. We go back," she said.'

Of course they met Hamas together. Why wouldn't British politicians want to meet homophobic, genocidal, anti Semitic Islamist terrorists.

Baroness Tonge: to ask Her Majesty’s Government what recent discussions they have held with other European countries about opening dialogue with Hamas; and what steps they will take to promote dialogue between Hamas and the Palestinian Authority.

Jenny Tonge is the Liberal Democrat who in March 2009 met Hamas leader Khaled Meshal in Syria and described him as “shrewd, plausible and actually very likeable”. During that visit she also had a meeting with Ramadan Shalah, the head of Islamic Jihad. Both of these organisations deliberately and indiscriminately fire rockets into civilian areas of Israel, sometimes even hitting their own (Palestinian) people.
