George Galloway to challenge Bradford West election result per BBC News

The BBC report that Graceless George Galloway is challenging the Bradford West election result.

'Former MP George Galloway has announced he has started legal proceedings to challenge his general election defeat.

Mr Galloway, leader of the Respect Party, lost his Bradford West seat to Labour's Naz Shah, who he has alleged made "false statements" during the campaign to affect the result.

He also claimed "widespread malpractice" involving postal voting meant the result must be "set aside".A Labour spokesman said the action was "pathetic and without any foundation".'

George Galloway losing his seat was one of my personal highlights of election night, but if he is the means by which electoral fraud, especially around postal voting is finally recognised and tackled then so be it.

One step that David Cameron's new government could take to safeguard democracy in the UK would be to reduce the use of postal votes back to where it was prior to the last Labour government's meddling. Postal votes should be only for people too sick to make it to the polling station or those out of the country on that date. Everybody else should vote in person.

The House of Commons will be a far more pleasant place now without these two nasty pieces of work.

Interesting news from Haaretz

Haaretz reports that:

'George Galloway, the U.K Respect Party leader known for his vehemently anti-Israel views, lost his constituency in Bradford West to Labour, and has also been reported to police for allegedly violating election laws, the BBC reported.

Galloway has been accused of retweeting Respect's own exit poll before poll closed. Under section 66 of britain's Representation of the People's Act, it is illegal to discuss voting while polls are still open. A Galloway spokesperson denied the accusation, telling the BBC that the report is a "storm in a thimble."'

Galloway loses his seat and is reported to the police, a good morning for common sense.

George Galloway shown up for what he is by the David Henshaw from Channel 4's Dispatches programme 'Undercover Mosque: The Return'. George Galloway loves to ridicule the interviewees with whom he disagrees but I think you'll agree that in this case he failed miserably.

If you think that bombing the US Embassy in Beirut killing 63, bombing Beirut barracks killing over 300, bombing Israeli connected entities in Argentina killing over a hundred, high jacking planes, firing rockets at Israel, planning to blow up Israeli tourists on Cyprus, etc. etc. etc.  'is an expression of political Islam and a very good and successful one' then words fail me...

Ed Miliband shows his lack of judgement

'The Labour leader invited Respect MP Mr Galloway to his Commons office, where they had a 'cordial and friendly conversation' for nearly an hour.

It has sparked rumours that Mr Miliband is considering allowing Mr Galloway to rejoin the party.'

George Galloway showing his true colours

George Galloway - "I don't debate with Israelis... I don't recognise Israel and I don't debate with Israelis"

My feelings about George Galloway are quite obvious and this incident really makes little difference to them, however hopefully it will show others the true George Galloway. A man who won't debate with Israelis but was happy to take the money and work for Iran's Press TV, supported Syria's President Assad and of course to assist Hamas.

It's odd where 'the left' draw the line

Over the past week 'the left' have criticised George Galloway twice. First for his rather unenlightened comments about rape, whilst defending Julian Assange and second for this Tweet

What is odd is that those up in arms about George Galloway's alleged misogyny and lack of sensitivity towards the disabled seem to have been less willing to criticise him for his working for Iran's Press TV and his less than pleasant views about Israel.

The double-standards of 'the left' are really quite abhorrent but not surprising. What is cheering is that, for whatever reason, this particular boil on the bum of British society might at last be ready for lancing.
