Leaked UK plan to open doors for 1m Turks per The Sunday Times

'... granting visa-free travel to the UK for more than 1m Turks, according to leaked diplomatic cables seen by The Sunday Times.

The cache of five documents also suggests that EU officials are attempting to keep any visa deal with Turkey under wraps until after the referendum on June 23.

According to the telegrams, senior diplomats have advised ministers that the proposed EU deal with Turkey on visa-free travel within the Schengen area could lead the UK to consider extending the same privilege to up to 1.5m "special passport holders" from Turkey.'

I was accused of being a warmonger this week.

I was accused of being a warmonger this week. This was re 'bombing Syria', which I thought odd as I am opposed to extending RAF operations against ISIS into Syria. There are enough Islamists in the UK eager to kill and maim innocent British people without fuelling their hatred and the hatred of others. Yes, that is the coward's way out but I am not convinced that the RAF will make that much of a difference nor that this extension of operations is much more than political willy-waving.

I would far rather the money that will be spent on bombing ISIS in Syria was spent on rooting out Islamist terrorists,  their supporters and excusers in the UK.

An article on Theo Spark struck a chord with me, here's a long extract:

Neither David Cameron nor the British people have any idea how many radicalised Muslims there are in their midst waiting to deal death and destruction in the name of Allah. Cameron and his government absolutely refuse to tackle the Muslim institutions that act as a breeding ground for radical Islamists, which includes mosques, madrassas and prisons.

To conclude, there hundreds, perhaps thousands, of jihadis and ISIS activists already in Great Britain ready and waiting to cause murder and mayhem, therefore it is incumbent upon David Cameron to explain to the British public how bombing Syria or Iraq would have prevented the atrocities carried out by these home grown and foreign born jihadis in the past and how bombing them today will prevent further atrocities in the future.'

 So 'warmonger', no.

A small news story on the BBC news tells us of more civilians killed in Syria. 

Of course if this had been just one Palestinian killed by Israel the institutionally anti Israel BBC would deem this a headline piece of news, but as it's Muslim Arabs killing Muslim Arabs they're less interested.

One line in that report caught my eye:

'United Nations figures show that over 220,000 people have been killed and more than nine million displaced in Syrian civil war since it began four years ago.'

The scale of what's happening in Syria is incredible but as the BBC can't vilify Israel over it they really aren't that interested.

Women sold as sex slaves in Islamic State markets, says UN official

JPost reports reports that:

'The situation for Syrian women has worsened since July at the hands of Islamic State, said Valerie Amos, the UN's under-secretary-general for humanitarian affairs and emergency relief.

She described how women and female children as young as 12 are enslaved and sexually abused. "Women captured as slaves by [Islamic State] have been sold in markets in Raqqa. Some are sold to individual men. Others are kept by [Islamic State] in rest houses and face multiple rapes by fighters returning from the battlefield," Amos reported during a UN Security Council session on Monday.

"Kurdish refugees from Kobani reported the capture of young girls by [Islamic State] for sexual purposes, girls as young as 12."'

The BBC are less keen to report such news, after there's Israel to vilify.

Because for the Palestinian leadership, holding a population gun at the head of Israel is more important than letting Palestinians live.

It's incredible that the BBC manage to report this whole story without referring to the allegations of false flag operations that even I blogged about yesterday.

Reporting Israel's reaction first

The BBC report thus:

'Israel attacks Syrian army sites after Golan bombing

Israel says it has attacked several Syrian military sites in retaliation for a bombing that wounded four of its troops in the occupied Golan Heights.

Among the targets were a headquarters, a training facility and artillery batteries, the Israeli military said.

The Syrian army had "aided and abetted" the attack on a patrol near the ceasefire line on Tuesday, it added.

There has been no comment yet on the air strikes from Syria and it is not clear if there were any casualties.'

So far as I am aware the BBC did not report the Syrian shelling of Israeli military sites until the Israelis retaliated. I suppose if your anti-Israel rather than an unbiased news organisation why would you?

Where's the outrage in the United Nations or online?

Even the BBC are reporting that:

'A jihadist group in Syria has demanded that Christians in the northern city of Raqqa pay a levy in gold and accept curbs on their faith, or face death.

The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) said it would give Christian residents "protection" if they agreed to the list of conditions.

Correspondents say ISIS is trying to implement an extreme interpretation of Islamic law in areas it controls.

...

The directive from ISIS, citing the Islamic concept of "dhimma", requires Christians in the city to pay tax of around half an ounce (14g) of pure gold in exchange for their safety.

It says Christians must not make renovations to churches, display crosses or other religious symbols outside churches, ring church bells or pray in public.

Christians must not carry arms, and must follow other rules imposed by ISIS (also known as ISIL) on their daily lives.

The statement said the group had met Christian representatives and offered them three choices - they could convert to Islam, accept ISIS' conditions, or reject their control and risk being killed.

"If they reject, they are subject to being legitimate targets, and nothing will remain between them and ISIS other than the sword," the statement said.

A group of 20 Christian leaders chose to accept the new set of rules, ISIS said.

Many Christians fled after ISIS started attacking and burning churches. '

Several things strike me about this report:
1. Where are the human rights organisations protesting this attack on freedom of religion? The organisations that are always ready to condemn Israel for any perceived slight on Islam.
2. Where's the United Nations outrage?
3. Where's the headline news on the BBC or in The Guardian or Independent that would appear if Israel stopped one Muslim from worshipping exactly where he wanted?

The lack of outrage from the above organisations would almost make one believe that they were in some way biased against Israel.
