Climate change update

TAke a read of The Washington Times who report that:
"The fight over global warming science is about to cross the Atlantic with a U.S. researcher poised to sue NASA, demanding release of the same kind of climate data that has landed a leading British center in hot water over charges it skewed its data.

Chris Horner, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, said NASA has refused for two years to provide information under the Freedom of Information Act that would show how the agency has shaped its climate data and would explain why the agency has repeatedly had to correct its data going as far back as the 1930s. "
It looks as though the "sceptics" may be about to get the statistical upper hand over the "warmists" but the power will stay where it is, "Climate Change" is too good a weapon to further the left's agenda to be allowed to wither.

Counting Cats has done the unthinkable, he has read the proposed Copenhagen Treaty. Now you remember how the EU made the Lisbon Treaty all but unreadable because people had read and understood the EU Constitution, well it looks as though the "warmists" may wish they had done the same. Counting Cats has uncovered the following clauses that seem to be getting no publicity in the MSM: Annex 1, Paragraph 33:

"By 2020 the scale of financial flows to support adaptation in developing countries must be [at least USD 67 billion] [in the range of USD 70-140 billion] per year."

EVERY YEAR?!

Annex 1, Section C, paragraph 41:

"[Financial resources of the Convention Adaptation Fund"] [may] [shall] include: (a) [Assessed contributions [of at least 0.7% of the annual GDP of developed country parties]"

0.7% of GDP, every year, turned over to the UN. I wonder how wisely that money will be spent? Maybe the leading nations of the Human Rights Council will get to spend some of it...

World governance is the aim, green taxes the method and Man Made Climate Change the excuse. Don't say you haven't been warned.

The coming world government?

Lord Monckton's contention on World Government is based on this document - section 38 on page 18.

"38. The scheme for the new institutional arrangement under the Convention will be based on three basic pillars: government; facilitative mechanism; and financial mechanism, and the basic organization of which will include the following:

(a) The government will be ruled by the COP with the support of a new subsidiary body on adaptation, and of an Executive Board responsible for the management of the new funds and the related facilitative processes and bodies. The current Convention secretariat will operate as such, as appropriate.

(b) The Convention’s financial mechanism will include a multilateral climate change fund including five windows: (a) an Adaptation window, (b) a Compensation window, to
address loss and damage from climate change impacts, including insurance, rehabilitation and compensatory components, (c) a Technology window; (d) a Mitigation
window; and (e) a REDD window, to support a multi-phases process for positive forest
incentives relating to REDD actions.

(c) The Convention’s facilitative mechanism will include: (a) work programmes for
adaptation and mitigation; (b) a long-term REDD process; (c) a short-term technology
action plan; (d) an expert group on adaptation established by the subsidiary body on
adaptation, and expert groups on mitigation, technologies and on monitoring, reporting and verification; and (e) an international registry for the monitoring, reporting and verification of compliance of emission reduction commitments, and the transfer of technical and financial resources from developed countries to developing countries. The secretariat will provide technical and administrative support, including a new centre for information exchange."

One world government?

Maybe those conspiracy theorists were right all along. The G20 meeting seems to have set in place a process of global quantitative easing and a single clause in Point 19 of the communiqué puts it is writing:
"We have agreed to support a general SDR allocation which will inject $250bn (£170bn) into the world economy and increase global liquidity,"
SDRs are Special Drawing Rights, a synthetic paper currency issued by the International Monetary Fund that have not been used for around half a century.

So have the G20 leaders actually activated the IMF's power to create money and begin global quantitative easing? If they have are they creating a de facto world currency? If so, who controls this currency?

Maybe Gordon Brown's prattling about a New World Order is more than just empty rhetoric, maybe we are all about to be made subjects of a World Government with (heaven forbid) Gordon Brown as its Finance Overlord.

If this could come true then maybe David Icke was right all along...

I think the Daily Mash have Gordon Brown's number

The Daily Mash have Gordon Brown and the rest of the G20 leaders bang to rights:
"THE G20 summit made you giggle like a schoolgirl last night after producing a shiny $1 trillion coin from behind your right ear.

At the close of an historic meeting in London, Gordon Brown delighted his fellow world leaders by crouching down asking you if you had any money.

When you frowned and shook your head, the prime minister moved his hand up to your right ear where he produced a big, golden coin before adding: "Really? Well, what do we have here?"

Mr Brown then gave you the coin, patted you on the head and urged you to spend it all on sweets.

But as global markets applauded the miracle of the golden coin, experts urged caution, stressing Mr Brown's playful generosity is what is known in the real world as an 'illuuuusion'.

Tom Logan, of the Institute for Studies, said: "It allows you to carry on spending money on sweets while convincing yourself that you will not, at some point, have to start paying it back. Forever. And ever. And ever.

"I'll be honest with you, we're now in so much debt that if you can summon up the courage to look at your share of it you will scream, faint and shit your pants all at the same time.

"Not only that but the coin does actually belong to some Chinese and Saudi Arabian gentlemen and if they don't get it back they will make you dance naked on a table and turn your house into a bathroom for their racehorses."

He added: "What the coin basically means is that your retirement will last the eight seconds it takes for you to collapse at your work station, fall to the floor and die and up until that point you'll be taxed every time you use the letter 'A'.

"Enjoy your sweets."

World War III starts in Korea?

The Telegraph reports that:
"In a significant escalation of tensions, North Korea cancelled all military and political agreements after accusing Seoul of aggressive posturing.

Pyongyang's decision to nullify all accords increases the prospect of an armed confrontation on the Peninsula, where over a million soldiers face each other across the Demilitarised Zone that divides the two Koreas.

North Korea's Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea blamed the South for pushing the two countries "to the brink of a war".

Pyongyang said it now regarded the maritime border between the two states as "void". The last time the two countries clashed militarily was at the disputed frontier in the Yellow Sea, when their navies fought a deadly gun battle in June 2002. "

So will World War III start with a war between North Korea and South Korea, India and Pakistan, Israel and Iran or ...?

The next election?

The newspapers and the blogosphere are alive with rumours of impending general elections, you can read Iain Dales's rumour-mongering here.
However I find it less than likely that Gordon Brown will go to the Country any time soon, or indeed any time at all.

As I have said before (here, here and here), this most anti-democratic Prime Minister is more likely to use the Civil Contingencies Acts to postpone a general election; read "Meaning of “emergency”" and tell me that you don't think he could do this based on almost anything from rioting on the streets to a rumour of a major terrorist attack being planned. This Labour government want and need to keep their hands on the levers of power and they will do anything to keep that power.

Fantasy stuff? Well how about the news that:
"Jacqui Smith, the home secretary, is to arm police with 10,000 Taser stun guns in an escalation of the government's fight against violent crime.
Smith will unveil plans tomorrow that will enable all 30,000 front-line response officers to be trained in firing the electric guns at knife-wielding thugs and other violent suspects."
Tasers will be most useful at putting down civil disorder, and that could include you and I protesting at the suspension of democracy in this once great Country.

Come off it, civil disorder, nobody seriously believes that is a possibility in the UK? Really? How about the head of the IMF, Dominique Strauss-Kahn?
"Violent unrest may be sparked around the world by a prolonged global slump unless governments act with greater urgency to jump-start stalled economies, the head of the International Monetary Fund said on Monday.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn sounded a stark warning over the consequences of what he argued was weak and uncertain government reaction to the economic crisis. He used a hard-hitting speech in Madrid to single out eurozone nations over what he attacked as an inadequate response. "

Take a look around the web, it's not just me saying that suspension of "democracy" is a possibilty, there are plenty of others. Before you yawn and call us scaremongers, remember who was predicting this economic crisis and what you called us for that?

Financial meltdown

The Telegraph explains that:
"The financial crisis spreading like wildfire across the former Soviet bloc threatens to set off a second and more dangerous banking crisis in Western Europe, tipping the whole Continent into a fully-fledged economic slump.

Currency pegs are being tested to destruction on the fringes of Europe’s monetary union in a traumatic upheaval that recalls the collapse of the Exchange Rate Mechanism in 1992.

“This is the biggest currency crisis the world has ever seen,” said Neil Mellor, a strategist at Bank of New York Mellon.

Experts fear the mayhem may soon trigger a chain reaction within the eurozone itself. The risk is a surge in capital flight from Austria – the country, as it happens, that set off the global banking collapse of May 1931 when Credit-Anstalt went down – and from a string of Club Med countries that rely on foreign funding to cover huge current account deficits.

The latest data from the Bank for International Settlements shows that Western European banks hold almost all the exposure to the emerging market bubble, now busting with spectacular effect."

And if that doesn't scare you, then this from the same article should:
"The threat to Britain lies in emerging Asia, where banks have lent $329bn, almost as much as the Americans and Japanese combined. Whether you realise it or not, your pension fund is sunk in Vietnamese bonds and loans to Indian steel magnates. Didn’t they tell you?"

Don't believe what Gordon Brown, Alistair Darling and the rest of the New Labour fools are telling you, the economy is f***ed, the Country is f***ed, the EU is f***ed and we are all heading for a breakdown in civil order - don't say that I didn't warn you...
