If this is true and if he could extend this promise to ex British EU Commissioners, so as to include Neil Kinnock and Peter Mandelson etc., then the Referendum result would be a dead cert. Four aces and a joker!

A health warning that should be given

I've noted before the terms that EU pensions are paid on, that they can be forfeit if the recipient doesn't support the EU.

Surely in the run up to the EU referendum whenever someone who is (or will be)  receiving a pension from the EU (Peter Mandelson, Neil Kinnock, Nick Clegg etc.) are asked for an opinion on the EU, in the interests of openness it should be made clear that they are (or will be) reciving an EU pension and that this pension may be forfeited if they say anything detrimental about the EU.

Indeed one could argue that in the current climate of financial transparency it would not be too onerous to mention the size of the respective pensions.

Peter Mandelson no longer despoiling British politics

In wanting to check a fact, I stumbled upon the following in Wikipedia re Peter Mandelson:

'In October 2008 he left his post as Trade Commissioner to return to UK politics. As a former EU commissioner, Lord Mandelson is entitled to a £31,000 pension when he reaches the age of 65 years. This however is contingent on a "duty of loyalty to the Communities", which applies also after his term in office. The Taxpayers' Alliance, which uncovered the threat to his pension, demanded that he should declare the conflict of interest and either relinquish his EU pay cheques or resign as a minister. 

"When one considers that his new ministerial post deals specifically with business, enterprise and regulatory reform – all areas that are intimately involved with EU legislation, regulation and policy –" the group said, "the conflict of interest is even more stark." Mandelson did not agree that he had a conflict of interests. "He has always had a clear view of British interests and how they are secured by our EU membership," a spokesperson said.[50]'

Compare and contrast

It's a little odd how much energy the BBC are putting into furthering the Lynton Crosby allegations when they just happily just took Tony 'pretty straight guy' Blair's word that Bernie Ecclestone's £1 million donation to the Labour party was in no way linked to tobacco advertising legislation.

Likewise this recent BBC coverage seems somewhat more frenzied than their coverage of the accusations about Peter Mandelson's dealings with aluminium mogul Oleg Deripaska, and his role in setting EU aluminium import policy. In fact the number of Peter Mandelson stories that the BBC decided weren't worth covering were many, even down to the embargo on mentioning his sexual proclivities.

The BBC are the media wing of the Labour party, they angle their news coverage to support the Labour party and attack the Labour party's opponents as much as possible. Can anyone truly doubt this?

Peter Mandelson and immigration

Lord Mandelson said:

‘In 2004 when as a Labour government, we were not only welcoming people to come into this country to work, we were sending out search parties for people and encouraging them, in some cases, to take up work in this country.’

Remember that between 1997 and 2010, net migration to Britain totalled more than 2.2 million, that's more than twice the population of Birmingham.
Also remember that the annual net immigration figure quadrupled under Labour from 48,000 people in 1997 to 198,000 by 2009.

It was Andrew Neather who let the cat out of the bag when he revealed why the Labour government deliberately opened "up the UK to mass migration" - It was at least in part due to a politically motivated attempt by ministers to radically change the country and "rub the Right's nose in diversity".

Remember that in this piece I reported the very senior civil servant who said ‘When I was at the Treasury, I argued for the most open door possible to immigration [because] I saw it as my job to maximise global welfare not national welfare.’

Also remember this about the effect of immigration on jobs.

'The myth peddled by Blair's acolytes – that high levels of immigration generated significant economic benefits for the existing UK population – was demolished in 2008 by a House of Lords select committee. It concluded: "We do not support the general claims that net immigration is indispensable to fill labour and skills shortages. Such claims are analytically weak and provide insufficient reason for promoting net immigration." Reinforcing this point, the government's Migration Advisory Committee recently confirmed that immigrants do "displace" some British workers – ie, take their jobs, most likely those at the bottom end of the pay ladder.' 

Nobody should let any Labour  spokesman get away with any comments on immigration, when in power they deliberately engineered a massive rise in immigration, a rise they didn't control because they didn't want to control it. Now as British cities are increasingly split into mono-cultural ghettos and inter-race tensions rise, we are simply reaping the fruits of Labour's policies.


As an aside here's a brief summary of the numbers of people who immigrated to the UK through history:
Hugenots - 40,000-50,000 in 17th century
Indians - 80,000 pre First World War
Africans - Around 15,000 pre First World War
Germans - Around 50,000 pre First World War
East European Jews - 120,000 pre First World War and maybe another 25,000 pre Second World War
Others fleeing Nazi Europe - 50,0000

Let's compare that with immigration post 1997.
Total net migration to the UK rose sharply from 1998 onwards, with levels being above 150,000 in all but one year since 1999. That's 150,000 a year but that's net of Brits leaving the UK.  So an average of 150,000 net is equivalent to half of the immigration to this country across 300 years. Remember that the next time you're told that we've always had immigration into the UK. Also remember that when you hear David Cameron hailing as a success cutting net immigration to under 100,000 a year.

It's important to know what's behind some of the attacks on Lord Lawson's call for the UK to leave the EU.
This Telegraph piece makes some good points, but don't forget the EU pensions and requirements... See previous blogposts.

Remember that EU pensions are paid on the understanding that the EU can remove this pension, if in the view of the Commission or the Luxembourg Court, they "fail to uphold the interests of the European Communities".

One rule for us and another for them

Guido Fawkes reports that:

Once again the EU elite will look after themselves whilst the EU collapses. Don't forget that another recipient of an EU pension will be Nick Clegg. Will his EU pension also be taxed at 8%? If so will he voluntarily make up the tax to what he would pay if this was a UK pension? Will Lord Kinnock? Will Peter Mandelslime Lord Mandelson? Don't make me laugh, of course they won't, they are far too important to pay taxes at the rate their fellow Brits have to pay at. My anger and hatred of our political elite just grows by the day.

Why is Alastair Campbell allowed to pollute our airwaves

I see that tonight's Have I Got News for You will be presented by the vile Alastair Campbell. Before watching it maybe you should cleanse your palate with this video of Michael Howard speaking truth to evil.

Alastair Campbell and Peter Mandelson did more to destroy my faith in British politics than anybody else. A couple of truly vile individuals whose survival as pundits and acceptable personalities speaks volumes about the standards and prejudices of the BBC.

And less we forget here's Alastair Campbell faking emotion on the Andrew Marr show, emotion that stops him from having to answer the pertinent and inconvenient question.

The unasked question

I see that Peter Mandelson has been spouting his usual pro-EU line. You can listen to his BBC interview here if you have the stomach for it. I note that line of enquiry regarding Peter Mandelson and the EU was not followed. Here, as I have asked many times before, are four questions for Peter 'Prince of Darkness' Mandelson:

1. If Peter Mandelson has to "uphold the interests of the European Communities" in order to receive his enormous EU pension then is he liable to act against the interests of the UK in order to safeguard his financial future?

2. When will Peter Mandelson start to be in receipt of his EU pension?


3. Is Peter Mandelson's pension at risk in the unlikely event of him standing up to the EU?

4. If his pension does not start paying out until he is 60 then is his pension at risk if he defies the EU between now and then?


Four simple questions that the pro-EU, pro-Labour BBC will never ask Peter Mandelson.

'change of government'

BBC Radio 4 lunchtime news included a piece about the latest EU summit. I did like the way the reporter referred to the imposition of new governments on Greece & Italy with just the words 'change of government'.

I wonder how the BBC would react to a new government headed by a British ex-EU apparatchiks being imposed on this country. I suppose if a Conservative government was replaced by one headed by Peter Mandelson or Neil Kinnock they would be all in favour.

'LSE criticised for links with Gaddafi regime in Libya'

The BBC report that:

'The London School of Economics has been heavily criticised for a "chapter of failures" in its links with the Gaddafi regime in Libya.

A report by former Lord Chief Justice Lord Woolf says mistakes and errors of judgement damaged the LSE's reputation.

The school's director, Sir Howard Davies, resigned in March over a £1.5m gift from a foundation led by Colonel Gaddafi's son Saif, a former student.

The LSE says it accepts all Lord Woolf's recommendations.'

Will there be a government sponsored enquiry into the links between senior British politicians and Saif Gaddafi? Maybe it could start by looking at the dealings, both personal and business, of Peter Mandelson and Tony Blair.

Will Saif Gaddafi spill the beans?

If Saif Gaddafi ever goes on trial I wonder if he will shed some light on the business relationships he is reputed to have had with Tony Blair, Peter Mandelson and others. Alex Masterley has his own question:

A Europhile sees the light

Per The Standard it seems that Danny Alexander has faced up to reality:

'“I think there is no doubt at all that the flexibilities we have, not being part of the euro, have been very helpful to the UK in dealing with the economic crisis we’ve had…”'

 Now what about Peter Mandelson, Ken Clarke and the rest of the Europhiles who wanted the UK in the Euro-Zone and pooh-poohed those of us who foresaw the obvious problems?

Peter Mandelson famously said that New Labour were ‘intensely relaxed about people getting filthy rich’

With the purchase of an £8million London mansion Peter Mandelson must be very, very relaxed indeed. How he acquired so much money would be an interesting question to have answered; certainly his income as an MP, then an EU Commissioner and finally a Peer would not seem to be enough. We know that his inheritance was not that large so how has twice disgraced Peter Mandelson become so rich? Property dealings would be one possibility but that is a line of inquiry that leads back to how Peter Mandelson was forced out of office for the first time. There are also his links with several foreign multi-millionaires, that are sometimes mooted as an explanation for Peter Mandelson's acquisition of so much wealth, but I am sure that Peter Mandelson was as straight in his business dealings as he was in his political career.

There is something about Peter Mandelson that makes many people instantly distrust him, maybe in this case first impressions are 'on the money'.

Who was responsible for the Lockerbie terrorist attack?

Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al-Megrahi was found guilty of the atrocity but suspiciously released early. Meanwhile the finger of suspicion has often been pointed at Syria, The Australian  has resurrected this story with its report that:

'ALLEGATIONS that police plotted to mislead the original inquiry into the Lockerbie bombing, resulting in a wrongful conviction, have been passed to official investigators.

The file being considered by the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission claims that evidence gathered at the scene of the 1988 bombing of Pan Am flight 103, which killed 270 people, was lost or destroyed.

False evidence, it is alleged, was then provided to incriminate Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi, the Libyan agent convicted of the atrocity at a trial in The Netherlands in 2001.

According to the file, the police investigation of Megrahi was "reverse-engineered" with evidence provided to match the thesis that he was guilty.

The surrender of suspects by Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi was a key element in British Prime Minister Tony Blair's dealings with Tripoli. This led to the re-establishment of diplomatic relations with Libya in 1999, after a 15-year hiatus.

The commission's report is expected to include allegations by Megrahi's defence team that crucial statements made to police by Tony Gauci, a Maltese shopkeeper who sold the Lockerbie bomber clothing which was later found wrapped around the bomb, were withheld by the prosecution.

Mr Gauci's statements are believed to have implicated Mohammed Abo Talb, a terrorist with links to the Iranian-backed Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - General Command, one of the early suspects for the Lockerbie bombing.

The commission is also said to be in possession of a press statement, prepared by Dumfries and Galloway police in 1990, which named members of the PFLP-GC as its chief suspects but which was never released.
Talb is serving life in Sweden for bombing an airport in Denmark, but was a free man operating in Europe in 1988.

It adds weight to claims that it was "politically unacceptable" to pursue the PFLP-GC when the 1991 Gulf War made it necessary to maintain good relations with Iran and Syria.'

I remember Private Eye producing a special investigation report that fingered the true culprits of the Lockerbie atrocity, maybe I should dig that out... The involvement of Tony Blair and maybe Peter Mandelson in rehabilitating Libya and creating trade links with that country is something that needs investigation; to my mind something smells...

5) Alex Masterley is wondering about Peter Mandelson's wealth. Here's how his piece starts:

What a lucky lady?

I read recently off a 32 year-old woman, Naobi Jacobs, who woke up one morning to find that she had no recollection of the last 16 years of her life. Sadly this meant she had no idea who her 11 year-old son was. However this incident of Transient Global Amnesia meant that she thought that John Major was still Prime Minister. This meant that Naomi Jacobs had no recollection of the despoiling of British life carried out by Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, Peter Mandelson and Alastair Campbell, the destruction of private pensions by Gordon Brown and Ed Balls, the selling off of half of British gold reserves contrary to Treasury advice by that same undynamic duo or the creaation of the biggest boom and subsequent bust by the same twosome.

As I said, what a lucky lady?

One cut that would not hurt a single pensioner or patient

On Tuesday morning a committee in Committee Room 14 at the Palace of Westminster will allow some ninety minutes consideration of the extra £9.5 billion payment to the IMF. A large amount of this money seems likely to be lent to Greece and maybe other troubled Euroland countries. As a comparison this Conservative lead Coalition government has 'viciously' cut Labour’s spending plans by £5.2 billion in 2010-11 and by £9 billion in 2011-12. Who in the UK would be hurt if this money was not provided? What guarantees do we have that this money will not be simply pissed up against a wall prior to the next bailout?

Actually there are some pensioners who may well be hurt by withdrawing the £9.5 billion: Peter Mandelson and the other EU pensioners whose support for the EU is apparently guaranteed by the promise of their EU pension.

1. This is a credit limit not an expense. We aren't paying in any cash, just agreeing to extend facilities.

2. Quite possibly but major EU countries (and others) were not facing a sovereign debt crisis in 1989, they are now

I have no idea whether the Bilderberg Group is simply a collection of people, who meet once a year, mostly being 'people of influence in the fields of politics, banking, business, the military and news media.' Supporters of the grouping say that it is 'nothing more than a policy discussion forum and social club which only serves as a means to brainstorm, reach consensus, and create social cohesion within the power elite of Western European and North American nations, to better promote Atlanticism and a neoliberal form of globalization.'

Others claim that the Bilderberg Group are 'an all-powerful secret society fixing the fate of the world behind closed doors'.

I don't know which is true but I doubt that I will ever be deemed important or influential enough to be invited.

If you have given up on your core beliefs and values and don’t care about your freedom then you have to ask what you want from life. A time is coming in the very near future when you will have to cast all your fears aside and stand up for what you believe in because if you don’t you might as well say goodbye to your own future and that of your children. It’s that simple.

Someone “sick” flew in, had a red carpet rolled out from their private airplane and was put into an ambulence which then showed up at Bilderberg? Seems like their trying to hide someone VERY important.

(529-1798, clearly defined in video and history books), i could go on and on but dont take my word for it…go watch the documentary called “The Last Pope.”

The vatican is the ONLY religious institution that fits ALL of these requirements in the Book of Revelation….please research

Yup and Ms. Rodham is not on the list, but she is in Europe and even mainstream announced last night that she is asking to leave Suckretary of State to head the World fucking Bank…WTF???????? It is inevitable that the Vatican Bank would be drawn into the global bankster’s scheme. Anywhere there is wealth, expect the schemers and opportunists to pounce. The mystery of who killed one Vatican bank official and hung his body from a London Bridge is open…Think it was called the “Blackfriar’s” Bridge. There was symbolism in that act. Someone was telling tales out of school–about 25 years ago, I believe it was–and paid the ultimate price.

But the Pope and his Cardinals are ultimately responsible for what goes on during their watch. They can’t claim ignorance forever.
