Seems like the sort of person who might safely be let stay in the country

The BBC report that "Samantha Crozier, who is a Canadian national, has been told that she must leave Britain when her temporary visa runs out in April."

I think I can see where she went wrong in trying to stay in the UK. First she met and married a British soldier whilst he was serving his country in Canada. She then moved with her husband when he was posted to Germany. She then had the temerity to have two children with her husband and to move back to the UK with him.

Samantha Crozier and her husband have no idea how to play the system, maybe a quick call to The Immigration Advisory Service would have shown her the best ways of becoming a UK citizen.

To add to the errors Samantha made, she made the mistake of being the great granddaughter of a British veteran who served in both world wars, not to mention that her maternal grandfather was a British veteran and her maternal grandmother, a FANY(WTS), was also a British WW2 veteran.
