So is Neil 'curry house brawl' Kinnock also an apologist for Hobsbawm who supported Stalin and excused the murder of 20million plus? Am I alone in being disgusted by the British left?

Whatever one thinks of Hobsbawn's communism (he is entitled to his own position on the political spectrum), it was his unfailing support for the USSR despite the well-known atrocities *and* its dealings with Hitler early in WWII that put him beyond the pale.

Alex you might want to try and persuade @northbriton45 of this, he seems to be happy to defend Hobsbawm.
