Does Israel not count?

This BBC article about the latest British Muslim terrorist includes this 'fact':

Abdul Waheed Majid, from Crawley in West Sussex, was the first British man to carry out a suicide bombing, attacking the city of Aleppo in Syria in February 2014

Except that's not the case, so I have complained to the BBC thus:

Complaint description:
Your piece http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-33126132 contains this 'Abdul Waheed Majid, from Crawley in West Sussex, was the first British man to carry out a suicide bombing, attacking the city of Aleppo in Syria in February 2014' This is factually incorrect, On 30th April 2003 a British citizen Asif Muhammad Hanif blew himself up at the entrance to a café killing three civilians and wounding 50 others. Why have you excised this attack from your memory? The attack took place in Tel Aviv, Israel, is that a factor?'
