I am sure Ed Balls would respond to this with a sneering "So what" in that delightful manner of his, for that is the kind of man he is. Come the next election I think that Ed Balls losing his seat would give me more pleasure than that of any other Labour MP. Ed Balls is so smug, so oafish, so goddam punchable... That election night announcement could be the right's version of 1997's "Portillo moment".
