The BBC seem surprised to have to report that "House prices fell by 2.5% in March, the biggest monthly decline since September 1992, said the Halifax. The latest monthly figure from the UK's largest mortgage lender was significantly worse than average analyst predictions of a 0.4% fall."
This is no surprise to me and indeed fits in with my predictions of a "a 40% drop in the average UK house price from the peak last summer to the end of 2010.".
